An oil tanker with 50-60 million gallons of oil is currently sinking in the Gulf of Paria. That's 5x more than the Exxon Valdez spill. it's a venezuelan storage ship. Venezuela is unable to get a tanker there to transfer the oil to because of US sanctions while the US is demanding immediate action. The company with the equipment to do such an operation is italian, and the US refuses to give them clearance to do the job because of the sanctions.
The Nabarima is operated by the Petrosucre company, a joint venture between the Venezuelan state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and the Italian Eni oil giant.
They would prefer killing entire ecosystems and people than to let a country be sovereign!
