New reference sheet for nabaru!
Sleepwalking Construction
@ask-us-m-n-o
It was sometime in the middle of the night. Nabaru would feel something shift and then the place where Wilson had been would be empty. The sound of a chest being opened followed by quiet clattering.
He get closer to wilson's home with cookies with shape of bones, waving his tail, he is always happy to visit his dearest friend or more that just a friend, he start to something like his cheeks get red for no reason, just signals of the spring is coming but decide to ignore for now
Wilson Caught the scent of his cuddle buddie and cookies on the wind. Both of those sounded wonderful. In general he’d been feeling more emotional recently. He hadn’t really noticed much but it was a sign of the coming spring. Wilson followed the scent and found Nabaru.
“Hello, how have you been?”
Nabaru walked in the direction of wilson's scent, had bandages on his neck and bandages on his face but he was fine despite everything, he knew that it was because of his transformation in the last full moon, but he was not sure what happened that Night, only continues until a few meters from where wilson lived, but remains still, since he was also afraid that the hounds could attack him
The closest hound picks up Nabaru’s scent and immediately rushes into the mound. Wilson soon dashes out and over to Nabaru. He doesn’t look like he’s had much sleep and there are signs of recently healed wounds all over him. Another thing of note was that he’d grown almost a full foot since the last time Nabaru had seen him while in a normal state of mind.
“Oh gracious are you okay? Does anything hurt? Did I miss a spot? How much do you remember?“ That all tumbled out of his mouth rather fast as he attempted see if there were any wounds that weren’t bandaged.
in enough time, the spiders have been attacking the hounds for a long time and now a queen spider had left the nest and began to reproduce more spiders, which approach the bones mounts that were in the desert ready to attack the hounds, in other part not so afar the three brother get away from they camp, the full moon was close, that means The giants who lived inside of the brothers almost will appear so nabaru with torch try to get away so far as he can, The sensation of transformation begins.
Wilson heard the panicked baying of the hounds that told him that a threat was on the march. He scrambled to gather the weapons he’d aquired from the hounds hoard as well as those he’d constructed himself.
When he came to the surface he saw the spiders approaching. Oh great. He hated spiders. What was it about full moon that drove the wildlife mad… Something in his chest stirred. Was he excited? That was utterly mad! But there it was, the bubbly feeling he got when he was excited.
He was becoming acutely aware of where the other hounds were. It was almost like he could feel their presence… And they could feel him. There were no verbal or even visual orders. Just the feeling of which direction the Alpha thought was best to charge from.
Nabaru was walking in the woods, with a luxury ax in his hands ready to do his work for the day, before beginning with the first tree, his ears stopped at the sound of a noise, he began to sniff, the smell was familiar like... a hound? but is diferent like to a human too, nabaru decides to follow the smell still having the ax in his hand.
Wilson had slipped past the other hounds to get out of the mound. He’d been begining to feel cramped in there. He startled when the silence was suddenly broken by approaching footsteps. Ow. His ears had only unsealed a few hours ago so sounds had become a little painful.
He jumped behind a tree just before the stranger aproached and peered at them past it. He didn’t know there were other people on the island.
Wilson’s Journal #1
It’s been a while since I bothered to record my thoughts. I tried to keep one of these early on in my misadventures but it became impractical. I still have it but I ripped out the unused pages for my fire long ago.
The reason I feel I need to do this again is to process the even more insane events that have happened of late. That and I just had a windfall of materials to use for pages.
To summarise: I am no longer human. At least, not completely. I have also encountered other people. I am not talking about Maxwell. Real, genuinely nice, people. I’m certain I didn’t hallucinate them this time.
Let’s start from the beginning. I died. Killed by hounds not long after a deerclops attack. I wasn’t ready. When I resurected I somehow ended up occupying the same space a hound puppy was. My memories of what happened are blurry at best. I just remember more pain then I have ever experienced before, which is saying a lot, and a black skeleton that seems to be responsible for making it stop. The experience left me and the puppy permanently merged. Half human, half hound.
I am now faced with the irony of living with the creatures that have killed me countless times. What’s more, I’m enjoying the experience. It’s difficult to hate something when it showers you with affection every morning. Doesn’t erase the memories but they are starting to hurt less.
I will cover the physical changes in future entries.
The people. I met another part-animal, for them it was wolf. I’m not sure why they were pink and smelled of roses but I am sure it doesn’t matter. Their name was Nabaru, unusual but pretty non the less. They were very friendly and understanding of my newfound puppy-like tendencies. I intend to visit them and their brothers (who I am yet to meet) once I can actually speak.
Following this I also met Willow, a charming young lady with a pet hound named Blaze. She has a fairly good camp, it has all of the basics one needs to survive here which is encouraging to see. I’d hate for her to be underprepared. It is concerning to see how many scares she has. Presumably there are more I can’t see but the ones visible above her shoulders are a warning. There are no creatures in this world that I know of that would inflict them other then humans. I didn’t comment, I don’t think I want to know.
