Just to Clear PHVIP’s #NaBigbangKa
Hope iVIPs don't misunderstand this. Please do know that Filipino humor is dark and sarcastic. The puns and memes you find under the #NaBigbangKa Twitter hashtag were in reference to movies, lines, and incidents wherein the girl has a one-sided love for the guy. As in, girl likes guy but guy likes another girl kind of scenario. Y'all might be thinking why it was referenced to those. You see, we PHVIPs know in our hearts that we've given their all for this concert, just to show the boys how much we love & support them, and appreciate that they’ve included the Philippines for MADE Tour (We didn’t get a GD or YB or YGFam concert, that’s why this was super special). Rarely do PH fans complete a mission successfully and we did it this time (FINALLY!!!) with our If You mission. Fans have organized donation drives and made unified shirts and banners to distribute to all fans, just to make sure that the boys were warmly welcomed. It was our way of telling them how Bigbang made the fandom one. That already is a big feat for us.
After seeing the boys' posts on IG, there was a pang of jealousy felt by PH fans, especially when they left 'I Love You' notes to other countries. We started to question ourselves where we lacked, where did we go wrong, and so on. As a nationality that regards and takes pride in its hospitality, we somehow questioned whether or not Bigbang had a great time in our country. Did they like what they've seen? Did we make an impact? Did they enjoy the time they had with PHVIPs? You know, questions like that. It felt like we lacked...a lot. Even if we knew deep in our hearts that we gave our all. We wanted validation that they enjoyed the whole experience just like we did and I guess that validation that we were expecting would come in the form of an ‘I love you!’ caption on their SNS updates. It felt like it was a one-sided love. It might come off as petty to some, but that’s how it was.
Then again, you come to realize how hectic their sched is. They have another comeback to prepare for, IC filming/preparations for YB and GD, possibly filming for MVs, other commitments on their hands, and they are currently doing a world tour. Initially I was worried when I got the news that they'll be arriving at the day of the concert; I can only imagine how tiresome it can be. They must've been hella tired and sleepy yet they were very professional to give their fans an unforgettable 2 hours and 30 minutes of their lives. They've performed 101% and seeing fancams, I believe that they did have a great time here in PH. I guess that in itself was the validation we wanted, even if it didn’t come in the form we expected it to be.
Please do know PHVIPs are very very very very thankful to Bigbang for stopping by the Philippines for MADE Tour and letting us experience again why they're the forerunners and icons of the Korean Wave. It is a fact that our love for Bigbang will never change. We're immensely proud of their achievements and we'll keep cheering on as they achieve more and climb further. That's how VIPs are right? We're always here for them...until whenever.
Sending out love and virtual hugs to other VIPS around the world. Please don't misunderstand us, I hope you get enlightened with the situation with the context that I've given. 😘😘😘
