Meg: @ruukachoo

It was late summer and the sky was in twilight. Meg and Shahil sat together on the balcony on her apartment above the shop, gazing up at the moon.
“Agni’s birthday is coming up,” she said. “I know celebrating birthdays isn’t the done thing, but I’d still like to get him some kind of gift. But what do you get for someone who has everything? He can buy anything he wants at any time.”
Shahil took a sip of his chai. “I’m not sure.”
Meg leaned back in her chair and threw one knee over the other. “Oh? It seems like you’d be the one to know.”
Shahil’s dark brown skin didn’t flush, but he could still feel the heat in his cheeks.
Meg smiled and gently nudged his shoulder. She followed Shahil’s gaze back to the sky. The moon was out, hanging bright and beautiful like a silver coin. The stars pinpricked in the sky, surrounded by only the Gods knew what, out there. The galaxy. The universe. The heavens.
Whoever she called it, it was beautiful.
The light inside washed out some of the color of the dust in the sky, but it still shone like fine glitter, sparkling and scattered and everywhere.
Shahil hummed to himself in thought.
“What if we had a potluck?”
Meg snorted.
“No, I mean it. We can each bring something we made that we know he really likes. Like, even though Agni has the best chefs in the city, they still can’t make curry like Khanda’s or chai like yours. Even if they’re not better, they have history. They’re special. They’re ours. And I think that’d mean a lot more to him than trying to find an objet to give him.”
Meg smiled at him. “Where would we host it?”
Shahil fell quiet for a moment. “Well, definitely not my house,” he said. “It’s much too small. We could ask Annaisha if we could set up in her backyard, maybe.
Meg uncrossed her legs and nudged Shahil’s ankle with her own. “I like that,” she said. She took a sip of her own chai and looked back at the stars.
“We can start tomorrow.”

HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY TO THE BABY BOI AAAA
My piece for this year's Oliver Collab is inspired by Nacreous clouds, named for the pearl-like iridescence caused by the ice particles within them reflecting the sun's light! It was fun yet insane to try drawing iridescence for the first time lol. James was also very fun to draw; I imagine this Ollie being able to form things out of the clouds, so he makes things like fish and birds!
Thank you so much to the mods for organizing Oliver Collab, I always have so much fun each year qvq
The sky keeps breaking.
"... From birth, it always travels as part of a pair, and remain with its partner for its whole life."
I am playing Pokémon Sage and hatched the cutest little bug ever!
I immediately thought, Dethklok, when I read that part of the pokedex entry.
They’d seem like a cute travel pair soooo I have them together in double battles or her cover for him if the foe is too strong for him.
Maskoon’s entry mentions making warped versions of predator calls to scare away threats so Dethklok would also make a great guardian to Nacreous. She has size and intimidation on her side.
