THE WOLF DOES NOT CONCERN THEMSELVES WITH FINANCIAL REMIFICATIONS OF THIS PURCHASE
It annoys me so much that whenever a couple is shown sleeping with their backs turned to each other it's to show them AGRUING. NO. WHAT IF ONE OF THEM JUST LIKES TO TOSS AND TURN? WHAT IF IT'S TOO HOT, AND THEY STILL WANT TO SLEEP NEXT TO EACH OTHER? WHAT IF THEIR EARS GOT TOO WARM AND THEY HAD TO TURN?? THEY STILL SLEEP IN ONE BED, AND THAT'S MIGHTY LOVELY.
Who would cook in skysolo and landoleia? Like, who wouldn't burn the kitchen down?
YUPIIEEE MY FAVOURITE TYPE OF ASK :D
SKYSOLO/LANDOLEIA KITCHEN HEADCANONS
That's a VERY interesting question.
Because I feel that by themselves each and every one of them is a decent cook. Some more than the other. Okay, here it is
Han: Does not like cooking, but was forced to do it if he wanted to eat anything besides army ration packs in his smiggler days, since he didn't always have money for cantinas. Can cook simple dishes, nothing too fancy, but always packed with nutrients, and surprisingly balanced. HOWEVER, if you leave him alone with kids, he WILL leave one of them responsible for 'watching the onions', and the kitchen WILL burn. Have you seen how many times the Falcon burned under him? Yeah.
Luke: Of course cooking was one of the chores he did on the farm. Rarely, mostly when aunt Beru was away, or not feeling well, but he always had an interest in cooking, and was the one to ask his aunt to teach him some basics. In the married life he is the one too make a big delicious pot of soup with self-grown veggies for his students, and it brings him joy to do, even if he messes up sometimes.
Leia: There was never a need for her to learn cooking, and she never really saw the need, preffering to spend her time sneaking out, or sticking to her father like glue. After the destruction of Alderaan she always had rations and communal kitchens until the end of the war, and it was then where she realised she would maybe like to learn. So her mother WHO IS ALIVE AND I DON'T WANT TO HEAR NOTHING teaches her the favourites of her childood, chukling that it will not taste the same, since the ingridients are not from Alderaan. Leia can be very stern though, so she is better at baking, lacking the kicked back attitude and improvisation needed for cooking.
Lando: NOW THIS MAN- This man is a 5 Michelin star chef when he's in the kitchen. As it is with Han, he first learned to cook out of pure necessity, the difference is, he is a gastronome, he has tried all the most poche vines and all the moat prenecious restaurants, and he LOVES showing off with his cooking. He's the type of man to take his date to the Could City kitchen so he can cook for them himself, instead of relying on the personal chefs. So after Leia falls into her senator place, especially after having the baby, Lando transforms into a stay at home husband, cooking for her every day.
So, to sum up: Luke cooks for the Skywalker-Solo family, while Lando cooks for the Organa-Calrissian family, but both Han and Leia contribute too.
UM SO THE ALARM LIGHT IN THE DEATH SCENE REFLECTING IN PINK WHICH PARALLELS ROZ'S UNCONCIOUS PINK LIGHTING WHEN BRIGHTBILL FIRST SLEEPS ON HER IS FUCKING INSANE ACTUALLY
Writing skysolo fics is so funny sometimes because Han knows he is bi, but he cannot let people close to save his life, and Luke loves nothing more than letting people close, but he has some internalised traditional values.
Like, if there was a show called 'Therapist Nightmares', this would be the pilot episode, and I am supposed to get them to date??
You know what, yes, I have my gripes with the Star Wars special of 'Phineas and Ferb' but I will never shut the fuck up about THIS
DISNEY. I WANT TO TALK, DISNEY.
Why. Why would they go their lengths establishing Phineas as a Luke type, giving them scenes together and similar lives and similar motivations, and then establishing Isabella as a Han type, giving them scenes blah blah, you know the drill (but it's even more apparent with Isabella and Han, because they changed Isabella's maner of carrying herself to be more Han-like) AND THEN HIT US WITH THIS.
What could possibly be the reason for not making Isabella Leia? It would certainly fit her character better. Oh, wait, no, because then we cannot have the romance. Only, we can. We establish that Candace, Phinease's lost sister is a STORMTROOPER, not a Leia type in this story. And it's 'A New Hope' making Isabella Leia would only help the romance. But no. Ohhh no. We have to have this. WE HAVE TO HAVE A LUKE AND HAN KISS. WHO IS RESPONSABLE? WHO WILL GIVE ME ANSWERS?
STAR WARS FAB FOUR AS SUN AND MOON
Leia - full moon
Not only because of her glowing ethereal presence, but also because of her power, decisiveness, she's a symbol of fulfilment and a guilding light in the night, not the loud and proud sun, but a more secret, soft, and mysterious presence, but just as, if not more valuable.
Lando - zenith sun
Bright, warm, and makes you sweat, just like his personality. Often associated with fun and leisure, but oversees everyone's work none the less, helping them without asking anything back and peeking from behind the clouds at just the right moment. Can burn some, but be a blessing to others, perfect for Lando's duality.
Han - crescent moon
A dull, not fully committed light that simultaneously symbolises change and growth in people. It is only the beginning of the journey, and may not light the path for you, but I will remind you that the moon is there. And no one knows if it is at the start of the cycle or the end.
Luke - sunset/sunrise
I think we all saw that one coming, but it really does suit him. Sometimes even brighter than mid-day but always soft, always golden, always nostalgic and breathtaking. Symbolising the end of an old life and the beginning of a new one, hope, excitement, new beginnings, rebirth even. Everyone stares at it dreamily, everyone finds peace in it, and there is certainly a comfort in knowing that even if the sun sets on the west, it will always come back up on the east.
