While most fashion designers try to diversify a tad too much in a hope of catching all customers, some just know their niche. Dubai resident @nadinearton is one of the latter, and the German world traveller has put her money where her passion is. She first began travelling as a war correspondent, covering far-flung destinations where she most certainly wasn’t enjoying five-star resorts. But from that sprang a cultural appreciation that, when she retired from the journalism hustle, translated itself beautifully into resortwear for the educated woman. Her four yearly capsule collections for her label, GlamonYou, capture a destination which Nadine fell in love with and, with the exception of Galleries Lafayette locally, are sold exclusively in resort hotels worldwide, from the Maldives to Dubai. The Viva Havana Collection shows the German’s love for Cuban culture, and includes tropical dresses, coverups and glamorous kaftans that can be worn poolside or dressed up for the evening.
