Regardless of what side they had scrabbled, Tiki made her way to the medical tent, hoping for a familiar mop of blonde hair. There were few that could say they fought a dragon and lived to tell, and fewer still that had talked face to face with one. She hoped to commend his courage.
"Excuse me," she says, hovering at his bedside. "You put up quite a battle. I cannot believe that you aimed your bow so readily at me!" Her voice echoes with impressed awe. "You're quite the marksman. Tell me, what is your name? I am Tiki, but some call me the Voice of Naga."
He sees the dragon approach from among the crowd, much too close for him to make an escape or indeed, take any action other than sitting ramrod straight in the cot, eyes wide as she comes right to his side, speaking in a voice much too bright, much too... human, when he thinks back to her incredible power on the battlefield.
"Andrei," he answers automatically when asked for his name, only to clench his jaw to muffle a sharp intake of breath at her next words. "Naga, you said..." he repeats, voice hushed and caught between veneration and terror. The dragon that lent power to Saint Heim, granting him the spellbook bearing the divine name of its creator. That this dragon — Tiki — would mention her name so easily, with a title that suggests a deeper connection between them...
"Were you... there, at Dahna?" There had been no records that fully listed the name of the twelve dragons; even one as pious as his father had not known them all. He could well be staring a literal deity of his homeland in the face. Andrei feels a little lightheaded.
