Nagrace HPH NT-V6 TV Box arrived in the post securely packaged up in its cardboard shipping box where I did not notice any signs of damage from shipping. Opening the plain cardboard packaging that the product shipped in I was greeted by nice looking matte black packaging which displayed the product name on the front. The graphics used in the box were simple and looked good. On the rear of the box, you will find the Nagrace website address, small product photo, and some specifications. The packaging was sturdy and nothing rattled around inside the box which was nice.

Design:
The HPH NT-V6 comes in the familiar casing that we are used to seeing in a lot of Android boxes which is a good thing as the case looks nice and clean. There are no invasive logos or obscure design choices that cause the box to stand out for all the wrong reasons. The device is nice and clean and should fit in with most home theatre setups seamlessly. The build quality of the device is great with no cheap feeling plastic parts to it.
Nagrace HPH NT-V6 Remote Control
The included IR remote control is better than most of the other remote controls that get bundled with Android boxes today. The remote control comes with the essential buttons that you need in order to interact with the interface and control media playback.
Network Performance
The HPH NT-V6 is connected to my home network via an Ethernet cable and my internet connection is running on 100mb Fibre. Network performance on the HPH NT-V6 provided stable speeds both up and down which will be allowed me to enjoy buffer free streaming. I received stable speeds for download of 78.85Mbps and upload of 4.83 Mbps.

HPH (named after “Happy Home”) NTV6 is a brand new model based on the latest Rockchip SOC available, the RK3288. NTV6 is a powerhouse, with a performance that surpasses most of the SOCs out there today, and hardware support for 10-bit color TS files.
Design:
The design is quite identical to that of the older (RK3368 based) NT-V8. With one small difference: HDMI-in port instead of one of the USB ports. The box is small and made of black plastic with silver accents. The external antenna is quite big, and all the ports and connections are to the back and right of the box. The On/Off button is on the left of the box, not far from the antenna.

HPH NT-V6 OTA Updates:
The HPH NT-V6 supports OTA updates which are great. In order to update Android boxes you generally need to load the latest firmware on an SD card or USB and then manually flash the latest update. The issue with this is that its time consuming and there is always a chance you can brick the device.
With OTA updates you can simply click the check for updates button and if there is an update simply hit the download and install button and the HPH NT-V6 will take care of the rest.
HDMI In:
The Nagrace HPH NT-V6 Android box comes with an HDMI input which allows you connect an external video source to the media player and display the video as a picture in picture on the device. The process worked quite well and I did not notice any major issues when trying this functionality out.
