Think Jekyll and Hyde! That’s where I’m getting my idea from. Instead it’s human longing vs. fae hunger!

The Human in her craves love, not worship. It wants to be chosen not just wanted.

Feels overwhelmed and guilty when attention spirals or causes harm.

Often hides or downplays herself after sensing she’s “too much.”

The Fae in her was born to shine.

Doesn’t just attract attention she also pulls it, like moonlight pulling the tide. Her light feeds on recognition, on eyes watching, on emotions stirred. This part of her does not feel shame. It enjoys being adored, touched, followed, chased, worshiped.

So what happens is this, Amelia the woman feels guilt, confusion, and aching loneliness.Amelia the fae feels desire, hunger, and an instinctive pull to bind hearts. When she’s around Stack, Smoke, Annie, or anyone who feels deeply for her, both parts are awake. That’s why she gets overwhelmed sometimes. That’s why it’s hard for her to tell what’s real and what’s fae.

As a person, Amelia was raised isolated, full of mystery and half-truths. She longed to be known, but never felt safe. Her grandmother protected her but didn’t let her fully bloom. As a feu follet fae, she is built to seek connection. Her species doesn’t thrive alone. Fae like her are meant to stir emotions, guide people, ignite yearning. To love is part of her magic.

But love doesn’t come easy to her not the kind that stays.So Amelia is not manipulative. She’s not seeking to harm. But her fae side doesn’t fully grasp the consequences of being so desired. It feeds off it, reflexively like a flame that grows when watched.
