Room D: Moving In
Well, gee, moving is a lot easier than people make it out to be, thought Nahuel to himself, entering into his cabin. Finally, decent living quarters. There would be a bathroom, showers, even a bed! The boy carried a single, beat-up bag slung over his shoulder. It was made of canvas, and obviously patched many, many, many times. From the look of how easily it swung around, there wasn't much to be found in it. He looked at the beds, wondering if he wanted to sleep up near the ceiling, or down near the floor. The boy decided that perhaps he would wait for whoever his roommates were to arrive before he decided. A bed was a bed either way, after all.

Sitting on the ground, Nahuel yawned. It was somewhat early in the morning, but they weren't exactly allowed to sleep in, so here he was, lounging outside. A girl much taller than himself seemed to be running laps. He was pretty sure she did this every morning, but it looked exhausting. Figuring she would probably be tired out from all of that, he went back to his room quickly to retrieve something and then came back out, waiting until she seemed about done. When it appeared that she had completed her laps for the morning, he approached. “Do you want this? I mean, you might be hungry after running a lot...” Nahuel said, holding out an apple.

Looking around for a bit, Nahuel was pretty sure he wasn't obvious. It was a few hours after a lunch and technically they shouldn't be eating again until later. As he sat down; however, he removed an apple from under his jacket, setting another one in his lap. For a moment, he stared at the smoothness of the apple's skin, and appreciated the fact that food was much easier to obtain here. Then, he bit into the obviously smuggled fruit, enjoying the sweetness.

Nahuel sat in a seat in the dining room, elbow rested on table and chin in hand. He stared into space, thinking of multiple things, such as how he'd gotten here, how the food had tasted, and how his family was doing. I hope the business has picked up a bit... that'd be nice. I wonder if either of them have gotten married... the food here is pretty good... his train of thought wandered. Without realizing it, he'd been staring at Meg from a table or two away for a good five minutes.

The sun was warm and the ground felt pretty nice. Although it didn't look much like a bed, to Nahuel, just about anywhere was a comfy spot to sleep. Paying no mind to the people who may be nearby, he sat down in the shade of one of the buildings, checking for a brief moment to make sure the ground was clear of bugs. Then, once he had determined that it was a spot as fine as any bed, he laid down to take a nap.

It did not seem too common for people to wander about the hills around the edge of the encampment. Nahuel; however, had found a rather low hill and now sat at the top of it, surveying the view in the opposite direction of the buildings. The weather was decently nice outside, and the area where he had stayed previously had been mostly flat, so he hadn't been able to participate in the activity he and his brother used to love so dearly: rolling down hills. Excitedly, he flopped over sideways and sent himself rolling, sure that no one would see him doing such a childish thing. When he reached the bottom; however, he looked up and saw a girl standing there.

The dining room slowly got farther and farther behind him as Nahuel made his way back to his, walking at a turtle pace. He seemed very careful to keep his arms folded in a specific way, as if carrying something. On his way, he passed by Ian, staring for a brief moment to admire the three more inches of height the other boy had. His look held a tint of jealousy, but also admiration. Before he redirected his eyes back in front of him, though, Nahuel caught his foot on absolutely nothing, thus being sent face-first onto the floor, bread rolls spilling out from under his shirt. “Ahh, darn it.”
