The days I stay in Rome alone, I lived like a local by going to the regular-visiting cafe, I will be welcomed by the staffs, have a little chat. And then going back to Pigneto to my favourite pizza restaurant to have a small bite, even with language barrier we still managed a delightful conversation, all this became my daily routine. Both of the places I didn’t need to make order nor pay first (I even have discount), they knew very well my preference, it made me feel home away from home.
The cafe I visited daily, usually I only have double espresso but this time I wanted to try the food too. It’s an Indian cafe/restaurant, surprisingly they have the best coffee in the town. Food was good, a bit pricey as it is very close to Termini Station.
Here is my anchovy pizza. Place name, Pizzeria del Pigneto.
We are friends now so I was allowed to take their roles. :)
Time to move again, so took a train from Termini, and randomly jumped off at station Repubblica.
Piazza della Repubblica, hmm…yes, I erased the car to get a clear shot.
Passing by another basilica.
Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri, such a long name.
The figure of Galileo Galilei made in copper is a gift from Chinese government to crown 30 years scientific and technological activities carried out in China under the leadership of Professor Antonino Zichichi.
Finally everything in hand and able to leave Italy. It was an amazingly crazy trip and Rome is a stunning city.
