Nailed It NZ Did My Nails!!!
Hey guys!!!
Recently I have had terrible luck with my natural nails, ever since my road trip in fact (I blame staying on a farm that was totally off the grid and doing actual work like gathering wood hehe) and I decided to go see my friend Jessie from Nailed It NZ who is just finishing her Nail Tech qualification!!!
Jessie has set up her own nail studio and is open for business!!! So exciting she gets to do what she loves and is great at!!!
Now we all already knew Jessie is super talented when it comes to nail art, the proof is all over facebook and youtube but she also does some damn fine acrylics too! Jessie's studio is set up with all the colours and creativity of an artist with examples of her work to browse through and is also super clean.
Look at these nails of Jessies!
The whole appointment was really relaxing and Jessie is very gentle. There are so many horror stories (including my own) about chain salons leaving you with damaged and really sore nails from all the filing and grinding they do so it was really nice to feel like your artist actually cares about the process! Jessie checked with me through the process to see how I liked the progress and make sure I got the nails I liked.
I had liquid and powder acrylic nails with tips done with a coat of clear gel polish on top so that I could keep doing my nail art without wrecking the acrylic too quickly! Here is a picture of my nails when they were just finished and still super shiny. You can see the line where the tips were added half way down my nail beds - we didn't blend the tips as I never have naked nails so it wasn't necessary. If they were blended you wouldn't see that line. They look so natural!!!
When I left the studio my nails were so lovely and strong and smooth and shiny and over a week later they are still as strong and still look great.
If you are in Palmerston North or the Manawatu region I'd really recommend going to see Jessie. Even if you are happy with your natural nails she does all kinds of great nail art too which sadly I didn't take advantage of since I had a bunch of swatching I needed my nails for!
