My A2Z Untried Challenge Mani no. 335
This shade arrived in my mailbox 📪 Wednesday and I put it on that day. This fun and fabulous polish is a very reactive tri-thermal beauty with a lovely orange-yellow shimmer. It looks different every time I look at it, so there are lots of pics. 🥰

💅🏻 ~Manicure Monday~ 💅🏻
Hi everyone! I’m kicking off June by wearing a color that I borrowed from one of my sisters. The name of this polish is Sage Simulation and it’s from the Xbox Collection that came out in Spring 2022. The official description is, “This sage green nail polish shade lives on another planet. Its shimmery formula will simulate a whirl of green.” I think whoever named this color is the one who “lives on another planet,” because this color is NOT what we call sage here on Earth. I’m sorry, but it’s just not. It’s obviously baby blue or sky blue! In what universe is this color green? Regardless of the name, it’s light and dusty with a subtle silvery shimmer. It reminds me of Cinderella’s princess dress! It’s nice for the spring or early summer. The polish felt pretty thick on the brush, but the first coat was thin and streaky. The second coat evened it out well and it self-leveled nicely. I can still see a few sheer spots in certain lighting, but I decided not to add a third one. I don’t own any clothes in this color, so I might have a hard time coming up with outfits to wear with it this week. lol

Bloom with Your Manicure: A Guide to Beautiful Floral Nail Art with Stamping Plates
Are you ready to turn your nails into a canvas of blooming beauty? Creating intricate floral designs on your nails used to be a task reserved for highly skilled professionals with a very steady hand. But thanks to the magic of nail stamping plates, anyone can achieve stunning, salon-quality floral manicures right at home. This trend is a game-changer for nail art enthusiasts who want to express their love for nature and beauty with incredible detail and precision.
What Are Nail Stamping Plates?
Nail stamping plates are small metal or plastic discs and rectangles that are etched with a variety of patterns. For floral designs, these plates are a treasure trove of intricate images, from delicate rose petals and whimsical daisies to elegant vines and lush bouquets. Using a simple process involving a special stamper and scraper, you can lift these designs off the plate and transfer them perfectly onto your nails. It's a method that promises flawless results every time, eliminating the frustration of freehand painting.
The Appeal of Floral Designs
Floral nail art is a timeless classic for a reason. Flowers symbolize beauty, growth, and nature's delicate perfection. A floral manicure can be a subtle accent or a bold statement, and it's versatile enough for any occasion. Whether you're attending a wedding, going on a date, or simply want to brighten your day, a floral design adds a touch of elegance and femininity. The variety of floral stamping plates available means you can mimic the seasons—think cherry blossoms for spring, sunflowers for summer, or rich, deep roses for fall.
Essential Tools for Your Floral Manicure
To get started with your floral stamping adventure, you'll need a few key tools:
Floral Stamping Plates: This is your foundation. Look for plates that offer a range of designs, from full-nail patterns to single accent images.
Stamping Polish: Regular nail polish is often too thin for stamping. Stamping polishes are highly pigmented and thicker, which ensures the design transfers crisply and is opaque over your base color.
Stamper and Scraper: The stamper is a soft silicone or rubber head that picks up the polish from the plate. The scraper is a thin card used to remove excess polish, leaving the design perfectly etched in the grooves.
Base and Top Coat: A good base coat protects your nails and provides a smooth surface. A high-quality top coat seals your design, adds shine, and makes your manicure last longer.
Clean-Up Tools: A small, flat brush dipped in nail polish remover is perfect for cleaning up any stray polish around your cuticles.
Step-by-Step Guide to a Perfect Floral Stamped Manicure
Prep Your Nails: Begin with clean, dry nails. Apply a base coat and let it dry completely. Then, apply your chosen base polish color. A light, neutral color like white, beige, or a pastel hue works best for making the floral design pop.
Select Your Design: Choose the floral pattern you want from your stamping plate. Apply a generous line of stamping polish over the design, making sure to cover it completely.
Scrape and Lift: Holding your scraper at a 45-degree angle, quickly and firmly scrape across the design to remove all excess polish. This leaves the polish only in the etched lines of the design. Immediately, press your stamper onto the design with a gentle rolling motion to pick it up.
Stamp onto Your Nail: Carefully position the stamper over your nail and roll it from one side to the other. The floral design will transfer beautifully onto your nail.
Clean and Seal: Use a clean-up brush to remove any errant polish. Once your stamped designs are completely dry, apply a layer of top coat to protect your art and add a glossy finish.
Creative Ideas to Elevate Your Floral Nails
Color-Blocking: Use different colors of stamping polish on a single floral design for a vibrant, multi-hued look.
Glitter Accents: Add a touch of sparkle by using a glitter top coat or applying tiny rhinestones to the center of your stamped flowers.
Negative Space: Stamp a delicate floral design directly onto your natural nail (after a base coat) for a minimalist yet elegant look.
Decal Method: Create a decal by stamping your design onto a piece of plastic or a silicone mat, then peel it off and apply it to your nail for a custom-fit design.
With floral stamping plates, you don't need a steady hand or a professional background to create breathtaking nail art. It's a fun, accessible way to express your personal style and wear a piece of art on your fingertips. So go ahead, let your creativity blossom, and enjoy your beautiful new manicure!
