Yesterday I was (once again) bullied by postal services, but I got my package! Fabrics, wheeee
Looks like a whole pile of white bc... well, it kinda is. The green organza is for white lily's cape - I initially got a yellow crystal organza bc I thought it would look cool layered with the teal chiffon I got for the outer part of the cape, but turns out I absolutely hate how it looks with all the cool, blueish, dull greens. So I got this minty color instead and yellow goes into the stash for potential future use. I got it on sale so it was less than 1€/m, so I'm not too mad about not being able to use it here
The white fabrics are:
- voile to make some sort of chemise (+ maybe matching bloomers) to go under my corset
- a linen/viscose blend, viscose jersey, cotton jersey and cotton eyelet fabric to make some shirts/blouses bc I almost exclusively own dark graphic tees and I think my printed skirts would look great with light, simple tops
Will also serve as a test to see a) which fabric I like best and b) which style of shirt I like best to eventually also make a long-sleeve version or two. Bc all I have for layering in winter are button up blouses and they feel way too formal most of the time (also not that comfy)
Also got pliers to set grommets/snaps bc I really hate hammering them
Also also: awful lighting and the color eno barely show up on photo anyway, but all sketches are traced onto the good paper!
Need to clean up some parts and go over everything with an actual graphite pencil, but the worst part of the process is over, wheeee
