It’s is important to change the negative images and narratives created about Black people -- it’s called pathology. i choose to support and elevate my community and culture. I bet on Black! As we celebrate Independence Day, we must remain mindful that America was literally built on the backs of Black people. We are Kings, Queens and Warriors. We defy definition because we are so damn fine -- and divine. Here are some moments in popular culture that remind me that I am Black, beautiful, brilliant and blessed.
