“No, no no. I do it wayyyy too much for you to think it’s weird. I stole my chips,” Nolan uses one hand to point to his chip bag next to him and using the other hand to push a finger into the couch cushion as he says, “laid on this exact couch, and…” Nolan’s hand stay pushing into the cushion and his body freezes in place; but his heart rate begins to thump into the other’s ears as Nolan seems to remember what else happened last night. The living room is shrouded in silence for an uncomfortable amount of time. Brett clears his throat.

WIP Wednesday

Nolan’s car is sitting in the driveway and there are lights on inside the house; Theo immediately jumps out of the drivers seat, leaving Mason, Corey, and Liam waiting in the cars. As Theo begins to make his way towards the side of the house, he pauses and listens through the home’s open windows. Rather than march forward, he turns back to the three waiting and motions for them to get out of the vehicle. The cars are turned off and once the other three start heading towards the side door of the house, they hear what gave Theo pause in his scaring. “AND YOU DIDN’T THINK TO TELL ME THIS WASN’T ENOUGH WHEN IT STARTED’ The shadows of two people are cast on the curtains of the first story windows as one is running across the house, leaving the other desperately trailing behind.
