it being essentially the same console with a few tweaks is exactly why they did it so you’ll need a new 3ds to play new games. lets be honest how many people who already have a well functioning 3ds would buy the new one otherwise

i threw a literal tantrum when i heard about the new 3ds because i just asked my aunt to buy me a new 3ds a month ago and it’s already on its way and i cant exactly return it because she bought it on an overseas trip and now i feel like shit

im so sorry my friend but at least you can play all the games for it that have already come out and i think its so dumb like why. like if you wanna release a new model cool but dont make it necessary for people to buy it to play new games when its essentially the same damn thing with a couple new features. god dammit.
