I wouldn't say I'm ashamed of this fandom, but certain people make me sad. Wale using BTS for fame? Other artists won't want to collaborate with them. And the Japanese actress? "Stay away from Jimin." The members aren't our possession, they are human. They will al fall in love one day it's so upsetting to see these celebrities hated on because people are so possessive . And there is no reasons to bring down other groups. It al comes down to respect and it makes me upset. -Young Aussie anon
I am absolutely proud of what our fandom has achieved for the boys, but we have to remember that all their victories, awards and where they are now, are fruits of their own hard work and passion and that they in no way owe us anything. They were never ours to begin with and sometimes it’s needed to have reality checks once in a while just so people can remember their place. it may hurt but hey, it’s the truth and there is no escaping it.And about the whole Wale issue, this post perfectly sums up everything I have in mind and more. And ohmYGHOD THAT ISSUE ABOUT THE JAPANESE ACTRESS WTH. From what I’ve read she literally just said that Jimin is her ideal type, so I don’t understand why people are making such a big deal out of it and sending her hate.
Like you said, it all comes down to respect. Respect not only for our boys and our fandom, but also for other groups, fandoms, and artists; may it be korean artists, japanese, asian, western, or whatever race they may be.
