I texted my friend I just remembered Taylor swifts middle name is literally Alison and my name is Allison so thats cool and must have been a popular name at the time cuz we are almost the same age

name thing: rebecca, jack, michelle

rebecca: the most prominent rebecca in my life was my first contact at UO Think.Play who in a way got me started going down that route because i got her contact via some people at a local game dev meetup and long story short i just finished my time at UO and my time as president of Think.Play so in a weird roundabout way that was largely prompted by me meeting her and her being good about listening to me wanting to be on the steering committee of UOTP

that may all not make sense to you but basically: she was cool and i think she follows me on here???? i forget her url though????

michelle: my friend bo is marrying a girl named michelle. she’s cool??? we’re not super close

there was a kaela in treble choir with me the past couple years and oh gosh she was such a cutie <3

i didn’t know her too well last year because she was a second soprano and i was an alto and i was frustrated at her section consistently, and then we were going to sit next to each other on tour and ended up talking about sherlock for five minutes before switching seats to be with our respective friends. 

then i sat next to her this year and she got the brunt of my bad music puns (oops) and she was actually section leader but seemed to always defer to me because i was student director (she was totally capable leading us on her own though; she was great)

she’s going to be in chambers this year and i am so happy for her wow

this is another one where i only know one person with that name. 

we met once over spring break and were in each other’s company for maybe thirty minutes, and they were writing or doing art or something on their computer and i was reading the black prism and eating fake sushi made of rice crispy treats and the person sitting next to me was muttering mean and uncalled for things to er laptop and/or university email.

we follow each other here now, and i’m going to be living in the same residence hall as them, probably on the floor above. they posted a picture once in which they were wearing a cool rainbow button-up shirt, and i happen to own the same one, and i think that’s super cool.

i knew a sam in eighth grade! he was actually one of my best friends that year, and a year younger than me (as the cycle goes); we ended up bonding over pokemon geekery and mutual outcastiness and he was impressed by my drawing because this was back in the Great Manga Vortex of junior high. we had theater class together which was fun but a lot of people kept making fun of us and saying we were dating (because obviously a boy and girl can’t be platonic!) and it made me so angry. i saw him like twice this year; i wonder what he’s doing now.

and then there’s also sam who i haven’t actually met in person yet and haven’t talked to much outside of one tumblr conversation but we were both written about in an essay once and i thought they seemed super cool and their presence inadvertently introduced me to dr horrible a couple months after the essay and that is the reason i cry
