How did you come up with your Bookstagram/Blog name? ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• @readaholic19 and @greadsbooks started the #NameYourBookstagram photo challenge and I really love the idea of finding out if there’s a story behind your handle! With all of the shirtless man covers and romance most people wouldn’t think I got my name from my love of Philosophy (which was my undergrad degree). The Philosopher René Descartes is famous for Cogito Ergo Sum, the common English translation is: I think, therefore I am. I was fascinated by his work, and when I started my Bookstagram I realized that I Read, therefore I Am was the perfect way to describe my love of reading! This also morphed to more when I was getting my graduate degree in counseling. Romance is often written off as frivolous, but I believe it helps readers build empathy and appreciation for different perspectives. It’s also helped me stop making so many assumptions when it comes to people’s actions!
