The pain was overwhelming, and had driven the poor journal incarnate to the brink of madness. The Bug Blox had infected his very body, changing his appearance and bonding with him, practically making him a prisoner in his own mind. At this rate, he would tear apart the Datascape and destroy it within hours, which would ultimately kill him in the process.

Already parts of the Datascape were falling to pieces, being ripped apart and corrupted by the Bug Blox. Hollow Bastion was starting to feel the effects of the infection as well, with the black and red blox filling entire areas and disrupting the flow of data.

Data stood in the center of the castle, near the Keyhole. He had no control over himself anymore; the infection was far too advanced. The torment and pain from it was driving him to the breaking point; if something didn't happen soon, he would go completely mad and break under the overwhelming agony and stress.
