Like she starts it at school and doesn’t realize it and Benito sees her and quickly takes off his jacket and ties it around her waist, and Nancy’s confused at first until she realizes then her face goes red and she feels ashamed but he just tells her he doesn’t find it weird or gross like other guys might, and after school he stops by the pharmacy to grab pads and pain killers and stuff like that for her before going to his house and she definitely has a snack stash in his house so they cuddle while eating chocolate cake and watching chick flicks and Nancy just gives him so many kisses cause he’s literally the best boyfriend ever-

Okay but idea of Nancy walking with Kitty and they’re in their cheer uniforms for the game that night and Benito’s at his locker and she just skips over to him and jumps up to kiss him on the cheek before starting to babble on and on about the cool new life the cheer squad is trying out tonight and he’s just looking at her with heart eyes as she rambles cause he could listen to her talk all day-

Nancy watched as Cora effortlessly picked up her wife, Lucy laughing as Cora twirled her around and kissed her. Then Nancy’s gaze shifted to Kitty lying across Seiji and Condé’s laps, scrolling on her phone while her s/o’s argued about something.

Nancy had always been insecure about her weight, that wasn’t a secret. In reality she was a healthy weight, just on the thicker and curvier side, but in her head she belonged on My 600lb Life. She deemed herself unattractive just because she had stretch marks, wide hips and a stomach that wasn’t flat as a pancake. Her two best friends, Carrie and Kitty, were both tall and skinny and looked like supermodels to Nancy. Their boyfriends had no trouble holding them or having them sit on their laps, and that made Nancy jealous. She knew her boyfriend, Benito, was strong but she still thought she was too heavy to be carried like her friends are. She didn’t ever sit on his lap cause she was afraid he’d feel how heavy she was and not like her anymore.

“Nancy? Can we talk?” Benito approached her.

“Yeah.”

“…in private?”

“Oh, right. We can go upstairs.” Nancy gestured for him to follow her. Her mind raced as they went up the stairs silently, afraid he was about to break up with her, cause nobody ever said ‘we need to talk’ and it turned out to be good news. Once they got to an empty meeting room, Nancy shut the door behind them, then stood and waited for him to speak.

“So uh…I was just wondering if uh…I was wondering if I did something wrong?” Benito rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

“What? No. Why would you think that?” Nancy tilted her head, genuinely confused.

“It’s just that…you’ve been kinda avoiding me lately. Like, when I put my arm around you earlier you immediately got up. If you just want space that’s okay, but I just wanted to make sure I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“No, you’ve been great, Beni! You didn’t do anything, it’s…it’s me.” Nancy looked at the floor.

“What do you mean?”

“I just uh…I didn’t want you to touch me but then…decide that you didn’t want to touch me anymore.” Nancy fidgeted with the sleeves of her hoodie nervously.

“Why wouldn’t I want to touch you?” Benito asked, now genuinely confused himself.

“Because…well…look at me.” Nancy sighed, gesturing to her body before quickly wrapping her arms around her stomach.

“What? Mi alma, you’re gorgeous!” Benito stepped forward to her, grabbing her hands in his and pulling her arms away from covering herself.

“You don’t have to pretend to like-“

“Muñeca, I am not pretending. You are absolutely beautiful. I’m sorry people told you otherwise but they were all lying to you, because you are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.” Benito raised her hand to his face and kissed her knuckles softly.

“So you don’t…you don’t think I’m too fat?” Nancy sniffled, and he immediately let go of one of her hands to wipe her tears.

“How many times do I have to tell you, you’re not fat. Besides, I like my women with curves and soft thighs.” Benito kissed her on the cheek and she giggled at the flattery. “Is this why you won’t sit on my lap ever?”

“Yes…I thought you would think I was too heavy and-“

“Cariña, I would love to hold you.” Benito smiled as Nancy relaxed and felt better knowing her boyfriend didn’t think she was unattractive or overweight. Nancy gasped when he quickly picked her up bridal style, easily holding her. Nancy felt relief wash over her as she kissed him on the cheek and hugged him.

“Now let’s go downstairs and show everyone we’re cuter than they are.”
