Nancy Benoit (born Nancy Elizabeth Toffoloni, 1964–2007) was a professional wrestling valet, manager, and occasional performer best known by the ring name “Woman.”

She became one of the most recognizable female personalities in American wrestling during the late 1980s and 1990s.

Happy birthday to the late Nancy Benoit, also known as Woman.

She’s managed the likes of Ric Flair, Kevin Sullivan, The Sandman, and numerous others.

She was known for being fearless as a manager, squaring up to wrestlers and referees alike, and being able to inflict pain if needed, which was unusual for women at the time.

Anytime you see a manager/valet getting in a man’s face, thank Woman for laying the groundwork.
