Honestly it feels like the Nancy love triangle in stranger things was all about the Duffer bros.

Steve feels like a revenge fantasy for all the boys that bullied them. Always being held accountable for his actions by others and himself in S1 rightfully so even when his actions might be somewhat understandable. Explains the massive amount of physical and emotional punishment he was put through. Why his character was regressed in S5 to be a version of Steve Jonathan thought he would be in S1 and became the but of everyone's jokes even his dream were made fun of. And his character ending becoming a skirt chaser stuck in high school. And never being allowed to move past Nancy.

Nancy also fells like a revenge fantasy for all the girls that said no. Being punished by Barbs death for choosing to have sex with Steve in a healthy teenage relationship to that point anyway and we were supposed to be angry at Nancy for it. Having her character attacked by both Jonathan and Barb simply because she was ready for a relationship and sex and they weren't at the time and in S2 cheating on Steve with Jonathan in a Completely FUBAR way. I mean seriously a 40+ year old man gets 2 minors drunk then mentally and emotionally manipulates them into having sex why more people aren't disgusted by this is beyond me and yet we are meant to be rooting for her and Jonathan in S2 despites she's in the wrong here. Her disgusting treatment from Jonathan and Steve in S1 at least Steve was rightfully held accountable for that but more importantly took personal accountability and her continued mistreatment from Jonathan through out all seasons.

Jonathan fells like he represents the duffer bros themselves . This drugged up loser was never once held accountable for anything ever. Those disgusting photos of Nancy and Steve in S1 i find it deeply concerning that it was shown that Nancy never understood what had really been done to her. Jonathan violated her in one of the worst ways imaginable that's not in a physical manner and she's all like this guys a catch better hitch my wagon to his before somebody else does WTF. Completely ignoring the blatant sexism and misogyny Nancy suffered in S3. Turning a blind eye to the constant humiliation she was subject by the A-holes at the post literally telling her welcome to the real world. If someone treated a female i love actually any female like that then you bet your ass I'm saying something I'm not looking the other way like that knob. The constant lies to Nancy in S4-5 throwing away her favourite pink sweater his pathetic insecure behaviour towards Steve all this and then some and no consequences what so ever not once.

S1-4 i absolutely love but S5 just seems like piss poor written fanfiction with Jonathan as the quasi main character. I remember reading before S5 release that the duffer bros had read/saw a lot of fan theories and no one got it right yea because no one thought S5 would be so crap.

Sorry for the rambling just wanted to get all this of my chest. Maybe I'm wrong here but just my opinions.

And oh yea screw the duffer bros.

I truly believe that stancy was meant to be endgame but for whatever reason at the 11th hour probably in a feeble attempt to please the masses the doffus bros changed it. I think all the evidence in S4 and even S5 even if it was more subtle prove it.

I think what sold me on the idea that J*nathan was a Duffer self-insert was in the epilogue. He's not at NYU just for photography, he's clearly a film student. He's even making the cliché, edgy, first student film: a gorefest horror movie with false ambitions of making a deep statement about society.

My top 5 Stranger Things chemistry's

Stancy season 4 especially lover lake scene and the creel house scene when Steve gets cobwebs in his hair the whole season they were amazing. Yes i am a stancy shipper love them to bits.

Stobin season 3 platonic with a capital P they were amazing good in S4 best at their best in S3 i feel very glad they did not go romantic with them they just don't have that type of chemistry i think.

Jancy season 1 i hate this ship with a passion toxic as hell but stupid top deny they have great chemistry i think they were at their best in S1 platonic but with a nice undercurrent of romantic tension i think they should have stayed platonic thought like a mature more serious version of stobin.

Lumax just love them very happy they got their endgame.

Scoop troops for me hands down the best part of S3 i think the best group chemistry through all 5 seasons.

Stancy in the Jancy break up

I am going to put other ship tags on this post because i really would like to hear interpretations from other fan groups ships.

“it was never like that with him” line never really bothered me so much. Personally i always took it in regards to S4 to be fair i have seen comments from Jancy Ronance and other fans that seem to agree. I mean Nancy and Jonathan were literally talking about the events of S4 when she said it. I just took as Nancy meaning nothing with Steve happened during S4 despite all the flirting and the amazing Stancy moments she did not cheat on Jonathan with Steve.

A lot of other fans Stancys and rivals took it another way i guess in regards to Nancy's overall feelings for Steve as in she has no romantic feelings for him. If that's the case then to me it makes no sense “it was never like that with him” is past and not current/present tense right if the writers/duffer wanted to make it clear then why not say something like "but i just don't feel that way about him and never have" which would be current/present tense and kind of hard to argue against. Also a little more food for thought is Nancy has said the same thing before in S1 and 2 in regards to Steve and Jonathan before dating them both so even historically in the show when Nancy uses those word to put it bluntly she's full of crap.

Then the 6 nuggets bit i never took that as Steve expecting Nancy to be his own personal baby maker i took it as him talking abut the kids he babysits when i mean when Steve told Nancy about the 6 nuggets in a RV dream he literally driving a RV and had 6 high schoolers in the back in Robin, Eddie, Erica, Dustin, Max, and Lucas. But lets just say for arguments sake he was talking about children with Nancy and it was the writers/duffer bros intent on making it clear that Nancy has no romantic feelings for Steve then why not have Nancy straight up deny it say no to that dream but she never did. She said she admires Steve because he knows what he wants but she does not know what she wants i mean fair play they are only what 20 21 at the shows end who knows what they will want in 10 15 years time.

Through out the shows run for whatever reason Nancy has never been aloud to state her feeling for Steve in a clear definitive manner she has always been gagged in that regard. The Stancy relationship is and has always been open ended and very ambiguous at best but considering how the show ended the duffer bros really leaning into the whole create your own ending thing maybe that was the point.

I am a massive Stancy shipper am i just reading to much into this what does everybody else think.

Disgusting

The ridiculous amount of Jancy shippers/Johnathan glazers even Ronance shippers falsely accusing Steve of SAing Nancy in S1 really is disgusting. There are 1000s 10s of 1000s if not more of these comments on here but especially on tiktok and instagram. Falsely accusing some of such a horrific crime even a fictional character is all kinds of messed up. When you got to make up these false accusations to try and make your ship seem better you know your ship is completely wanked.

I’ll never agree with your opinions on st*ncy ever, but I can respect the fact that you’re entitled to them. What I can’t respect is you posting on the Jancy tag when you’re clearly anti Jancy. I don’t know what the point of that is, unless you’re looking to start an argument. No one is forcing you to like Jancy, but if you’re going to post hate about it then at least stick to the anti Jancy and pro st*ncy tags, no one wants to log in on here and see takes like yours for the ship they like.

Was not looking to start a argument and not a hate post just pointing out the hypocrisy of Jonathan glazers Jancy shippers. Anyway i just clicked on all the tags at the bottom when making the post removed the Jancy Jonathan Byers ones now my bad.
