This film was an unapologetic exploration of sexual violence against black women throughout history, and sheds light on how the legal system fails black women. Furthermore it is not a comma in the story of a black male hero. It is THE story it is THE issue and reminds us of the black women who energize the social movements that black men get to be the faces of.
