I have always wondered how the art of Rhapsody works. And man I was left awestruck by the amazing performance by the group Lasya. Khata a play directed by Rajashree Shirke, a versatile, passionate retelling of Rabindranath Tagore's short story Khata. Retold with drumbs, shehnai, dhaak, kathak performance and the phonetics of classical singing and dancing! Indian Rhapsody at its finest. By the end you don't realise who is the sturadhar and who is the protagonist! Five women play Uma, and her oppressor as well!
