love you gabs <3
go your own way by fleetwood mac — woke up one day in november with this song randomly stuck in my head and it's been that way ever since (as it should be!). a song for leavers who wish they were the type to stay
mr schwartz by arctic monkeys — you 🤝 me: having arctic monkeys in our five most played songs. seriously though, there's nothing like a new arctic monkeys album to remind me i will always be an alex turner girlie, and this song is peak turner. i mean, just look at "and if we guess who I'm pretending to be / do we win a prize?" !
lady bird by nancy sinatra — i adore nancy sinatra's voice, and there's just something about it on this song that just...scratches an itch in my brain
seventeen going under by sam fender — it says something that i included this song in not one, but two of my monthly playlists this year. what can i say, i'm not immune to wailing boy music, or the line "i was far too scared to hit him / but i would hit him in a heartbeat now"
hairpin turns by the national — i've been listening to their album 'i am easy to find' a lot this month, and every time i do, i get stuck on this particular song. maybe it's the way the way the third verse is sung like a plea, or the imagery used to characterise the relationship the song is about. either way, i can't stop listening to it.
