someone tried to tell me that being a nanny is unskilled labor but I know thirty-year-olds who are still scared to touch a baby because they’re uncomfortable with tiny vulnerable humans. like nah dude nannying is a real job with real stress and it utilizes real skills (cooking, cleaning, & being super attentive, to name a few). not to mention being a nanny means putting yourself in charge of the health, early education, and well-being of a LITERAL INFANT... a teeny tiny human is relying on you to literally survive. 🤔 unskilled my ass !

ok so big problem - the girl I babysit (she's 10) spilled a big glass of juice into the keyboard of my beloved macbook pro. it is fried. and because it's water damage it is not salvageable. I am really upset as all of my college and high school work, not to mention the book I've been working on, is all on there and lost forever. do I tell her parents and ask that they replace it? They are really well off, and I am inexplicably poor, I saved up for two years to buy that. what do I do? anyone have any advice?
