I had gotten a little too lackadaisical with upkeep I’m afraid ;___; I would only tend to Kitty like twice a day. I guess they had enough.

Argh I don’t know if that was the last stage, but I don’t want to go another month to find out!

Nano Kitty: Age 15

I’m PRETTY sure it grew today, I honestly didn’t notice a difference until I saw that the eating animation changed slightly.

TONS slower at the chase game now, Kitty seems to be evolving much, much faster than the Puppy.

Nano Kitty: Age 0

I’ve been craving some Nano action, and dug out my Nano Kitty! I got this around 2004-ish, a few years after I had thrown all of my pets away. I was in a store with some classmates/friends (??) and saw a whole wall of Nano Kitties. I don’t know if Playmates were still actively selling them at this time or if they just found a box in the back, but I used what little money I had and bought one. I can’t remember what people/friends (?) I was with but I remember being judged pretty harshly for it lmao It was one of the few times I didn’t let it bother me as a mid-teen.

Anyway there’s been a collection of debris under the screen for a while. After the Nano Teddy debacle I didn’t want to take this one apart, but I decided today was the day to stop being a baby and just do it. And I did! Since you can’t press on the screen to lift the board, I gently pried it up along the edges and pressed on the buttons instead. It worked! There’s a scratch and a knick on the screen’s polarizer somehow, but I got everything else up, and filled a hole in the case under the screen. Hopefully I’ll never have to open it up ever again.

Nano Kitty: Age 24

Kitty changed again! Got a big head now. This is the one they use on the packaging, and it only took me 24 days to get here gah

The chase game is just downright impossible now, I only win every few tries. Thankfully I still get awarded half a heart even if I lose, thank you Playmates ;__;

This might be the last evo? We’re approaching Puppy’s age when he left so we’ll see!

I got another vintage digi pet for my collection! This time it's the Nano Kitty. I love cats! 😻 I dunno why I never got this version as a kid... I did have the Nano Baby so I'm familiar with the game play.

(side note: I had a lime green one, got it for my birthday back in 1997 lol. They were out of purple apparently... I asked my mom and was totes disappointed 😭)

It's one of the easiest (and boring) digital pets, but it's a nice throwback so I'll run it until it dies I guess. The fact that it's boring might actually be why I never got this one tbh 🤷🏿‍♀️
