3. What other stories inspire your novel?Honestly, what inspired Stellar Black was the new year. Like, I was full of passion and started shouting about things excitedly. I was reading stories like An Enchantment of Ravens and A Tethered Mage at the time. Lately, I’ve been reading the Illumate series to help me get inspired. (Note: It’s just been making me want to restart so I can properly worldbuild.) 

5. Who is your protagonist? Riore Isika Syair! The lovable but annoying main character who can’t seem to settle on a single personality as it stands. (It’s a draft two problem.) She’s someone whose never really felt the need to go above and beyond, it hasn’t worked so far, so she’s given up on it.

19. What excited you about this story? EVERYTHING. I was hyped (and still am!) to mix science and magic, to play with a first person perspective, and to finally write about a threat that isn’t threatening the entire world (only a moon or two).
