Sooner or Later
She knew in her heart sooner or later she was going to have to face her world. She knew she couldn’t keep running from her inner thoughts and demons. She couldn’t keep putting them in the farthest corners of her mind. When all it did was continuously come back and haunt her. It was a constant struggle and battle within herself. How much she kept away from the people who knew her. The mask she portrayed to the people around her. Only a select few got to see the woman she is behind the mask. She smiles for the world. Why? Because she doesn’t know any better. She continues to fight, continues to struggle, and continues to move forward. Sooner or later, she knew she was going to love again. She knew it would find its way back into her heart. She had to take the time to heal because she didn’t want to love halfheartedly. She took the time to go through the pain. Sooner or later, she would have to deal with it and this was the only way she knew how. To fight her struggles and face them head-on. No matter how much it broke her. No matter how much pain she went through. She was going to keep fighting and stand up every time. She made her choice and that is what she’ll stand by.
