April showers bring May flowers – that’s the saying, isn’t it? Feels like a taunt at this rate. After all, it seems that Evi can barely get a solid hour of planting in before the skies open up and bring about another unexpected rainstorm. She supposes that’s Washington in spring for you, and she should probably know better, having spent a few here by now. Still, it doesn’t stop her from grumbling as she enters the gallery with the sound of her squeaking shoes drowning out her complaints. A thought is being contemplated about leaving those muddy shoes by the door when she looks up and sees Naomi Clover. It’s enough to freeze her in her spot – mostly because she’d been unaware of the audience. “Sorry.” For what? Old habit, really, the apologizing. Her gaze darts down to those same boots and she decides to stay put. Awkward as it is, it’s better than tracking mud and looking like an ass. After all, that’s what Naomi probably sees at her as. A drug dealing asshole. Fair assessment. And now one clad in overalls and drenched with water. Even more impressive. “Your, uh – the jewelry.” For fuck’s sake. Is she forty or fourteen? Stammering like some nervous kid... “The stuff you make is beautiful. I stare at those opal earrings every time I come in, I swear.” She manages a laugh, though it’s cut off by a wince as a drop of water rolls down into her eye. “Kak. I mean, ah... anyway. I’m not sure where Jonas is. Probably went to get lunch, if I could guess, and got trapped by the rain. So, ah, sorry.”
