Kido always did her best to stay away from trouble as best as possible, even more so upon her arrival in Hive, a city that not only attracted troublemakers, but gave them slightly enough room to cause uproars. Thus far, she always managed to avoid the biggest mess may it be way, a labyrinth, or being stuck with some strange kind of bug. She supposed that in exchange for her powers, she was given luck, but who knew for how long that was going to last... 

Today, it was challenged once again, as Kido was on her way back home from checking out a new bookshop that had just opened recently. Unfortunately, she didn’t have enough money to buy all the books she wanted, making her buy none at all. (She had some odd reasoning when it came to these things) The shop was away a few streets when a stranger ran into her, the collision causing several book - even some of those she wanted - to fall to the ground, the man groaning and cursing at the same time. She wasn’t given a chance to say sorry or ask if he was fine, because another voice intervened, shouting “Hold him steady, do not let him run away!” Kido’s body reacting on it’s own, her arms clinging to the man - apparently a thief, seeing how he kept cursing and demanded to be freed. 

Kido kept clinging to him until the other person arrived, thanking Kido for her cooperation after he was taken into custody. “I didn’t really do anything, but no problem.”

「LAND OF BROKEN PROMISES」

                                         K O I ; a city of love.                                                                   Please.

     City of boredom and listless citizens sounded much more appropriate. Ever since the moment he stepped onto the train station's platform, the newly hired detective felt nothing but sick to his stomach at how grotesquely simple the metropolis seemed to be. The dissatisfaction was enough to make him want to vomit. Effort, love, hope; it sounded like a morality textbook! These were the things swirling around in the melting pot called Koi City, and it was shallow as fuck.

     Still, it was a place to hide and if those damned brats paid one bit of attention to his speech before he left them to die in the television world, it'd be that towns like this just wasn't his cup of tea. If they made it out alive, surely this would be the last place they'd think to look. Koi wasn't particularly close to Inaba, either. So, what were the odds of seeing one of these irritating brats walking directly in front of him?

    「You've gotta be shitting me.」 A hopeless grin spread thinly across amused features, his hand reaching to his upper visage. The prince detective was making a stop here now, was he? Perhaps it was time to give him a good welcome from the newly commissioned detective.

     The barrel of his gun dug into the side of his target as his opposing arm wrapped around his shoulders leisurely. Lopsided grin close to the ear of his dear old partner, Adachi lifted a brow and gave a hushed welcome. 「It's been a while, hasn't it? Let's take a walk; I think we need to catch you up on a few things.」
