Day 1 Mongolia: Naran Tuul Market
Woman carrying wood through Naran Tuul (aka Black Market) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
We bought some wood so that we could BBQ some nice lamb we bought.
I did shoot some colour while I was in Asia but I've been reluctant to post it because I didn't want to disrupt the haunted black and white aesthetic I've been aiming for. Projects of mixtures of colour and black and white lose cohesion and I'm trying to keep this as a single unit. But honestly (and more practically) I've been back in Canada for over a half-year now and I'm running out of colourless pictures -- if I want to keep this blog going I don't have much choice.
The aspect ratio is different in this shot (1:1 as opposed to 3:2 in every other picture up to this point) because I used an archaic TLR.
