Modern AU-

Clark is a famous DJ. He travels the world giving out sold out shows and he’s just come back from tour. He’s sleeping in at his bachelor pad when he gets a call from his record company

Record comp: Hey, we think that you should do a collab with Narcissa Black

Clark’s sitting there like “what??? Narcissa Black??”

Narcissa is part of the Black hip hop empire, and although she’s really sweet and a wonderful singer, she’s also a vicious rapper

Clark’s only worked with guys before and so he gets really nervous. Also because he doesn’t really have the same style as her but WELL TOO BAD because the record company is like “we’re sending her to your home studio tomorrow”

Clark spends an entire day playing with his material and trying to make something that would be decent enough to play for her without making himself look like an idiot while downing several shots of vodka to try to calm down because he’s really never been so nervous

Clark literally calls his dad like “dad you were a famous footballer give me advice on how to handle this” and he says “there was nobody as successful as you and her in my day. so you gotta figure it out on your own”

The next morning, Clark opens the door and she walks straight in, sits down at the kitchen island and says, “you’re good at what you do.”

Clark’s still in the doorway and he looks really confused “me? uh, yeah, I guess? Thanks”

Narcissa: “you’re also really famous. i get that. i asked the record comp to work with you, you know. i’m not being forced to be here”

At that, Clark feels so much better. And yeah, he should, because even Modern AU singer/rapper Narcissa has always liked him, from the start.

On the first day, they don’t even DO anything music related. Clark takes her on his motorcycle down to the shore and they spend the entire day at the beach, which gets people talking

The actual music making process goes over really well. Clark and the producers sit and listen while Narcissa sings and Clark’s already like “I hope we get to perform this live because this sounds really, really good”

So the night the song drops Clark and Narcissa are clubbing with the Kardashians. It’s funny, because Blossom is also there, as well as Andy and Bella. #powerfamilies The song comes on over the speakers and while everyone else is dancing around them, Clark and Narcissa stop and look at each other. They stay like that the entire song, and they can’t stop smiling

It ends up reaching the Billboard charts and Narcissa and Clark celebrate by popping bottles of champagne off of Clark’s patio and into the pool

They do everything together. They’re frequently seen partying, posing for pictures together, vacationing, shopping (although Clark is really just being dragged by Narcissa around Los Angeles while she buys out entire stores) etc.

She is seen coming out of his house at four AM and the press goes crazy but they refuse to say anything about it

They even go on tour together, and they do a ton of crazy things. Clark thinks his favorite tour memory was when he and Cissa went swimming with stingrays. Cissa wasn’t a huge fan, but he liked it. He was dragged to the spa later that day

Anastasia was not a morning person, and a hangover never helped. Blearily, her eyes pealed open. She winced when she realised the awkward position she’d slept in - and the person she’d slept on.

For a long beat, she didn’t move.

She was struggling to remember at what point in the night she could’ve wound up asleep on Fenrir’s chest. Fully clothed, the pair were sprawled out across the sofa, their legs tangled and Anastasia curled catlike on top of him.

Gingerly, she lifted her head. The nasty pounding in her head only got worse, but she wanted to sneak a look at him. It was jarringly peaceful, she decided, listening to his steady breaths in the darkened room. She liked it. Stretching up, her lips brushed his cheek, and Ana found herself laying her head in the crook of his neck.

Her shuffling about hadn’t been quite as careful as she’d hoped. Just as she’d settled herself, Fenrir gave a low groan, stirring. She felt him try to shift, then tense at the weight pressing on him, but Anastasia didn’t look up. Before he could decide what to do, she had reached for one of his arms, dragging it across herself.

“Don’t you dare make me move.”

HEADCANONS

001. The first time Anastasia paid any attention to Narcissa was when she turned her hair blonde. News of her betrothal to Lucius Malfoy reached even Durmstrang, but no one had prepared Ana for this. Arriving home for the holidays, she found herself a ball, staring at an unnervingly familiar looking blonde. It was only when she later saw her stood beside her sisters that it clicked. If only because she couldn’t fathom why Narcissa had done that, Ana’s interest had been piqued.

002. Borgin and Burkes doesn’t traditionally deal in furniture. When they advertise themselves as an antiques shop, it’s for centuries old wizarding objects with a distinctly macabre feel - not tasteful furnishings that’d make a lovely addition to anyone’s home. No, this is a side to the shop that Anastasia pushed all by herself, and almost solely because Narcissa displayed an interest. Using contacts of her mother’s (the older woman a keen art collector), she quickly proved it was worth the investment. Even if Ana’s initial intentions had been to simply spend more time with Narcissa, she likes to pretend it was a highly business minded move.

003. Ana is very unsure over what has her so determined to protect Narcissa from the realities of the war. She’s far from the coddling type, and part of her doubts Narcissa would need that. If nothing else, the urge feels mutual. It’s an alliance - perhaps the most important that Ana has, her feelings of self-preservation extending to another person because ultimately, two heads are better than one.

004. Ana’s involvement in the shop changes over the years, marriage prompting her to spend less time on the shop floor. She’d still, however, know its contents better than anyone. When Draco is given his seemingly impossible task by the Dark Lord, Narcissa approaches her. Their friendship had remained close over the years, Anastasia something of an aunt figure to Draco, and the level of trust between the two women is clear when Narcissa asks her to help him. Anastasia responds with an object not in the shop, nor its backroom. The broken vanishing cabinet had sat in a drawing room in the Burke Estate, but she has it brought to Knockturn - unheard of when the Burkes would guard their personal collection like a dragon did gold.

WHO HOGS THE DUVET ?ana — she is the worst to share a bed with; she takes up all the space (somehow), steals the duvet, throws the pillows about. basically, it’d be a good night if fenrir didn’t find himself pushed onto the floor.

WHO TEXTS/RINGS TO CHECK HOW THEIR DAY IS GOING ?fenrir — if by ‘check how their day is going’ you mean ‘annoy ana while she’s trying to work’. her ignoring him would probably make it worse, but she wouldn’t learn.

WHO’S THE MOST CREATIVE WHEN ITCOMES TO GIFTS ?neither — they’d both suck at it, let’s be honest. ana would sulk when fenrir tries to pass off something like sex as a present, only to do the exact same thing when she’d next need to get him something. they’d cancel eachother out.

WHO GETS UP FIRST IN THE MORNING ?ana — borgin and burkes isn’t going to open itself. she’d grumble and complain and make sure to wake fenrir up too, but when he’s like ‘just fuck ‘em and don’t go??’ she’d tell him he’s being ridiculous. the daily argument would be a part of their morning routine.

WHO SUGGESTS NEW THINGS IN BED ?fenrir — he’d easily know more things to suggest, and while i can see it being a lot of stuff he likes, he’d be curious to see how much she’d actually want to try ( spoiler: it’d be all of it ).

WHO CRIES AT MOVIES ?neither — just imagine it, the pair of them watching some emotional, romantic movie that would have most people sobbing and they’re just so confused. ‘is this how normal couples act??’ ‘it’s so cliche i feel ill’ ‘just put on a horror fucking hell’.

WHO GIVES UNPROMPTED MASSAGES ?ana — definitely wouldn’t be just an excuse to feel him up…

WHO FUSSES OVER THE OTHER WHEN THEY’RESICK ?ana — she doesn’t do fussing, and she definitely doesn’t do sick; he could have a cold, or the flu or just a hangover and she’d be out. /BUT/ her patching him up after a full moon?? going out of her way to look after him?? stroking his hair while he sleeps it off?? i can see it.

WHO GETS JEALOUS EASIEST ?fenrir — who’s surprised?? ana, actually. she’s so used to it always being her, so she’d love using it to wind him up. when it’d usually end in him fighting someone or an angry makeout session, she wouldn’t get bored of it. poor fenrir wouldn’t catch a break.

WHO HAS THE MOST EMBARRASSING TASTE IN MUSIC ?fenrir — if you ask ana. every time she’d be talking about some composer and fenrir would stare at her blankly (or more likely take the piss), she’d want to smack him with a book of sheet music.

WHO COLLECTS SOMETHING UNUSUAL ?ana — i feel like the shop automatically counts. she’d get excited over something particularly creepy that’s been brought in, only for him to straight up tell her it’s fucking weird. cue ana’s outrage.

WHO TAKES THE LONGEST TO GET READY ?ANA — does this need explaining?? the difference in fenrir just pulling on clothes and ana requiring a full scale military operation to get ready would be hilarious.

WHO IS THE MOST TIDY AND ORGANISED ?neither — i feel like neither of them care about their surroundings enough to be tidying up after themselves, and definetely not each other.

WHO GETS MOST EXCITED ABOUT THE HOLIDAYS ?ana — there’s lots of food and people buying her things, of course it’s one of her favourite times of year.

WHO IS THE BIG SPOON/LITTLE SPOON ?fenrir/ana — partly, it’d be (ana’s) preference because she would love lying on fenrir’s chest whenever she can, whether he wants her there or not. but fenrir would’ve also found it’s the easiest way to get a good night’s sleep, because if he’s holding onto her it’s harder for ana to wriggle about until he’s been slowly pushed from the bed.

WHO GETS MOST COMPETITIVE WHEN PLAYING GAMES AND/OR SPORTS ?both — they’d both be too competitive and stubborn and love winding the other up. even the most laid back of games would probably involve multiple arguments, an accusation of cheating and fenrir breaking something.

WHO STARTS THE MOST ARGUMENTS ?ana — even when fenrir’s got a shorter temper and she’s not always the one raising her voice first, 9/10 arguments would happen because she’s wanted them to, and orchestrated things to play out like that.

WHO SUGGESTS THAT THEY BUY A PET ?neither — i can’t see either of them wanting the responsibility of caring for another life. let’s be real, it probably wouldn’t end well.

WHAT COUPLE TRADITIONS THEY HAVE ?fenrir’s shirts — he’d love seeing her wearing one of his scruffy check shirts in the morning, and ana would love the way he’d melt. quickly, they’d replace her usual silky pajamas. date nights — or more accurately, find an excuse for ana to stay late at the shop once a week, then sneak fenrir in. full moon — it’d happen every month, so i’m going to go ahead and count ana checking on fenrir afterwards as a tradition.

WHAT TV SHOWS THEY WATCH TOGETHER ?anything with violence and gore for them to laugh at (healthy couple bonding, obviously), so maybe american horror story, santa clarita diet and the walking dead — which they’d get way more into than intended. ana would also love crime dramas, and so long as someone dies horribly Fenrir would be happy to sit and watch with her. he’d be less tolerant of her real housewives marathons.

WHAT OTHER COUPLE THEY HANG OUT WITH ?the problem with secretly seeing each other because one of you is technically engaged would be not really being able to do double dates. but more importantly, who’d want to hang out with them?? they’re the worst.

HOW THEY SPEND TIME TOGETHER AS A COUPLE ?they’d be laid back. their time would mostly be spent chatting, drinking, arguing about anything, jokily plotting ways to get her out of her wedding, trying and failing to not be inappropriate in public, and seeing how sexually frustrated they could make each other before they cave and just fuck.

WHO MADE THE FIRST MOVE ?fenrir — no question about it. it’s not as if he’d be embarrassed, but ana would still like to act smug about it whenever she can.

WHO BRINGS FLOWERS HOME ?ana — but they’d be flowers for her. either ones she’d have bought simply because she liked them, or ones someone else has given her. if it’s the latter, they’ll be not-so-casually pointed out to fenrir and gushed over, just to get on his nerves.

WHO IS THE BEST COOK ?neither — i’m not sure ana would know cooking is something you can do at home without a house elf, and fenrir’s probably never taken the time to learn.

a drabble of my character taking yours shopping ;

What was Anastasia’s element was clearly not Fenrir’s. Understandable, really, given the place they were in. The shop assistant's eyes trailed over the man in a way that said she wanted to check him for stolen goods, but Ana only breezed past, leading the way.

She was a frequent enough customer of the high end store for the staff to greet her by name, pointing her in the direction of new pieces she might like, while Fenrir was left to trail behind like some deeply reluctant shadow. To onlookers, it must have been comical. She’d keep holding up tops and skirts and dresses, only for her enthusiasm to be met with grunts and grumbling. No matter how thin his patience seemed to wear, however, he didn’t walk out.

In truth, Anastasia had promised they wouldn’t be there long - but that had been six outfit changes ago. Aside from the occasional demand to help with her dress zipper, Fenrir had been relegated to an uncomfortable chair outside the changing rooms by a beady eyed assistant. He was bored, his feet were surprisingly sore and with a scowl on his face, he was wondering how the fuck he’d been roped into this. Surely it should be classed as a form of torture. When his stomach started to rumble, too, enough was enough. Ignoring startled glances, he strode through the women’s changing area to the room he’d seen Ana disappear into.

Upon the curtain being ripped open, she jumped. Unfortunately for him, she was fully dressed and quick to regain her composure.

“Y’said you’d make this worthwhile.”

“And I will,” she insisted, fighting the urge to roll her eyes. Instead, she met his through the mirror, Anastasia not missing a beat. “We haven’t even started looking at lingerie yet.”

“You know,” Anastasia mused, “I can barely remember you with dark hair anymore.” She said it as she wielded an elegant looking brush, gently running it through those icy blonde locks.

“I hope that means it suits me, darling.”

Anastasia didn’t need to check the vanity mirror Narcissa sat in front of to know her friend was smiling. Just the right amount of teasing was in her voice, and it had Ana laugh.

“After... what, five years? It’d be a little awkward for me to say no.”

She set down the brush, deft hands taking to sweeping pieces of hair away from Narcissa’s face as they played with different looks, a copy of Witch Weekly open before them for inspiration. “Do you think it’d suit me?” Her tone was entirely innocent, dark eyes catching blue in the mirror. There was no smothering her laugh when Narcissa’s expression could only be described as horrified. “I’m teasing! Merlin, the look on your face...”

☆ - happy headcanon

- Amos’ favourite candies are licorice wands and fudge flies.

- Amos adores freckles, and often compliments strangers on their freckles in public places. Especially while intoxicated. He has been punched for complimenting men in grungy pubs after too many drinks. He has no regrets about it.

- Amos loves rainy days, and whenever it rains he always sits outside with his fur children and a hot cocoa.

◉ - fERRETS

- Flour is the oldest and the mother. She’s the largest of the ferrets and white with a black eye. Back when Amos was a boy, she was docile and quiet and loving (borderline maternal). She was always on his person and Amos feels as close to Flour as he does his own parents, as Flour’s been with him since he started school. Flour’s now had three children and is in her elderly years, doing well for her age. She mostly sits on Amos’ shoulders rather than adventuring through the house, and spends the majority of her time resting or feeding.

- Salt is the first of Flour’s babies, a female albino ferret. She has a violent dislike of most other females and has a tendency to bite women Amos has over while they sleep. She’s the only one who doesn’t enjoy sitting in Amos’ robe, and would rather run constantly without end through the tube system in the apartment. She also has a tendency to sleep at the foot of Amos’ bed at night. She loves raspberries.

- Pepper is a male ferret, white with grey stripes. He is the calmest of the children ferrets and if Amos hasn’t brought Flour with him, he’s usually brought Pepper. Amos often brings Pepper to his games because he “dooks” (the ferret noise for excitement) constantly and Amos enjoys the encouragement. Pepper also loves wearing sweaters and adores snow.

- Garlic is Pepper’s littermate and a female, white ferret with a black stripe down her body. She’s easily the craziest of the bunch, and has erratic, crazy and stupid behavior. She often gets stuck in strange places or caught trying to eat ridiculous things. She needs the most surveillance, but is easily the most loving. If Amos holds her she screeches when Amos tries to put her down, and spends most of her time trying to get his attention. Garlic loves peanut butter.
