The 2015 conference is fast approaching, and we need your help! Volunteers are an important part of the conference, and we really appreciate all the wonderful ways they help out. We are looking for volunteers in a number of areas, so there is something for everyone. Whether you're an experienced conference attendee or a first-timer, volunteering is a great way to get involved and meet new friends. We need volunteers of all types, so don't hesitate to get involved, and don't worry; you'll still have plenty of time to enjoy the conference. My BucketList talks!!! Someday alright!
I am already following Narcolepsy Network on Twitter but I haven’t chance to do my homework yet. So I did today. Also after the March 13 2015 panel discussion of Snooze TV which if only I had known they have live stream this Friday, I would have watched and asked questions. Apparently, their topic was about Narcolepsy and Narcolepsy advocacy.
Learned that Narcolepsy Network is the oldest and the largest organization (estimated 500 members all over the world) for Narcolepsy. They are the pioneer of Suddenly Sleepy Saturday, and have been encouraging U.S. cities and states to declare Suddenly Sleepy Saturday as awareness about Narcolepsy. The latest city to recognized Suddenly Sleepy Saturday with a proclamation was Tucson, Arizona as posted March 11 on their Twitter.
During sleep week, they had a bed race last March 8 in Virginia.

Proclaim Suddenly Sleepy Saturday!
Suddenly Sleepy Saturday 2015
Help raise narcolepsy awareness by requesting a Suddenly Sleepy Saturday 2015 proclamation in your city or state
Suddenly Sleepy Saturday 2015, also known as Narcolepsy Awareness Day, will be March 7, 2015. Narcolepsy Network encourages members and supporters to get involved by requesting that your state’s governor issue a proclamation officially recognizing Suddenly Sleepy Saturday. Requests can also be made in your hometown or county.
Last year, Suddenly Sleepy Saturday proclamations were requested in 41 states, and the day was officially recognized in 23 states as well as several cities. Can we reach all 50 states this year? We can with your help!
Proclamations are requested through your governor’s office. Some offices respond very quickly, while others require two or more months to process requests. Don’t delay in making your request!
