Honestly, this card gives me the feeling you are ready for a cat now--you just got to believe in yourself a little more.

Your post about God investing power in His Creation was so interesting--is that like when the Bible says the land spit out the Canaanites or cried against the blood of Abel? or is that just figurative?

You know, a lot of people say it’s figurative, but there is something so poignant about some of those passages, particularly the one about Cain. God even threatens to level mountains for allowing the people to continue to worship other gods on them. Sometimes it seems a little much to me.

Even if it is figurative though, God still made all of Creation. He invested himself in it just by making it. He invested a lot in humans, choosing to create us in His image. (I actually also heard a pastor argue that the same phrase of “breathed in” was used for the animals too, which he said means they have a soul, but that was a long time ago and I don’t remember the specifics of the discussion.) He then spoke of it and called it “good.” There was a lot of energy and workmanship invested into this Creation. Everyday, there is even more as God continues to guide Creation.

That’s how I see it anyhow.

I actually have two crushes at the moment!

The first is someone I’ve known for a while. Lately they’vebeen sending me nice messages kind of out of the blue, and I don’t know if that’sbecause we’ve gotten to know each other more and they’re perceptive of how I’vebeen having a rough time lately and are just being a good friend, or if it’sbecause they genuinely like me. I thought this person was engaged becausesomeone once told them “congrats on the engagement,” but I’ve never seen thisperson with a significant other and never hear them talk about one, so maybethat was a congrats about them getting into grad school? Engagement could have meant something else. Or maybe I justmisheard. I wish I knew because I kind of do like them… They’re funny andgenuine with a great sense of humor, and we share a lot of interests. I alwaysfeel happy around them and the more I think about them, the more I get a warmfuzzy feeling? But I also feel super awkward because what if they are engagedand I’m just fucking TERRIBLE at reading the atmosphere and am mistaking someonebeing a good friend for flirting? I AM A FILTHY SINNER. ;A;The other person is also someone I’ve known for a while and is very special tome. We’ve had a lot of really deep talks late at night at shared a lot oflaughs together. I always get a really warm feeling when I think of spending mylife with this person (and I’ve thought about that quite a lot). They’re funnyand warm and loving and ADORABLE and I love the idea of going on cute dateswith them and having dumb inside jokes that only we understand. We haven’t beentalking as much lately though. I feel like maybe I’ve kind of driven this person away... So, maybe what I feel forthis person is more heartache and grief for what we once had.

Tell an embarrassing story.

Ok, so I was on a mission’s trip, and my group had decided to pray at 6:45am in order to get in to the cafeteria on time. I used to be an early bird, so I was already up and had walked across the university campus we were staying at to sit on a bench. It was cool morning, and I was sitting there alone.

Shortly, the two boys came up. I was scary so they sat on a different bench. It kind of made me a little angry, tbh. Like what were they afraid of?

Then I yawned.

Except opera singers don’t yawn.

We whale.

What started as an innocent yawn echoed off the walls of the university buildings surrounding us, vibrating through the campus. My youth minister and his wife heard it all the way back at the dorms.

Well, the boys turned to stare at me in wonder! They were shocked, egg on their face. Then they started guffawing.

And that’s how I earned the nickname Whaley.

average case scenario: you get a c and move on with your life (C’s get degrees!) worst case scenario: (likely not to happen) you have to retake physics and it does a tiny bit of damage to your GPA

that’s the thing, though

I can deal with a C, but I can’t FAIL, because I don’t have any more time to retake classes

I’m at my credit cap; I have to finish this quarter and leave, and I need this class to be accepted by any form of med or vet school

this quarter needs to go flawlessly but it’s not happening right now

so what kinda character do you play in d&d? I'm the world's worst dwarven cleric.

Right now, I play an elf wild-magic sorceror. Very fun single-target DPS. P: I tend to stick to DPS, but so far I’ve played … two sorcs, an elven cleric, a moon elf bard, and a halfling druid in the last three years.

Clerics are hard. I don’t like playing heals. x_x
