Kenya 2021

November 15th

I am on a trip Donald and I wanted to take for many years. Unfortunately his health prevented us from traveling in the last years of his life and in January of this year he passed away. Advice, never put off your dreams until tomorrow or it may be too late. I know this is a cliche, but it is still true. I carry Donald in my heart but it is a poor substitute for having him here beside me.

I arrived in the evening of November 12th after a long flight. My bags did not make with me however due to a short layover in Amsterdam but it took me 2 hours at the Nairobi airport to get that information. This was a minor mishap compared to some who had cancelled flights and trouble with documentation, so I am not complaining…

Here is one of my heroes who waited 2 hours to get me. Dr. West and I.
