Okay so I think Iâll just explain the thing with Narrator and Kristiel. It gets dark and enters uncomfortable territory I suppose. So viewer discretion is advised.
Basically, Narrator is as youâd expect, the narrator who I guess commentates and stuff. He was in the beginning and the one who discarded the initial creation (under orders). He is a being, preferably a mischievous imp/spirit or something, that does all the work for the mastermind behind the game. He possessed Kris. Heâs done it before. Classmates have gone missing in the past and it was all because of him possessing Kristiel and murdering them. Kris used to brush it under the carpet and pretend like he didnât exist just to run from the nightmare but now that theyâve had a proper encounter...they canât do that anymore.
It lead off of the sketch I did of Kristiel sleeping. Iâd already mentioned prior that he sees Kris as a the âstar of the showâ and has a slight (unhealthy) obsession with them. He wants to trouble them. Make them angry. Depress them. Control them. Manipulate them. Degrade them. Possess them. Dominate them. Torture them. Torment them. Use them. Abuse them. But he canât get too close or else they might get attached. Asriel is in university, they hardly speak to Toriel, they have no friends. HE, no matter how toxic he is, is the only one they have. They are isolated.
Despite Narratorâs twisted thoughts and desires, pervesion is another factor that drives his impulsive nature. The mastermind gave him the power to temporarily leave his âbroadcasting perchâ and assume a stable enough form where he can essentially visit themâ talk face-to-face or make torture a lot easier. That was his initial motive when he woke them up but he himself is conceited and has to put others down to give him more power. His words âTsk tsk tsk. I thought you knew better than to provoke me. Just look at you.â
Kristiel was groggy and couldnât care less but being pinned down and choked straight after surely woke them up. He continued to ridicule to which they said nothing so it was time to âuse themâ since they wouldnât react in an entertaining manner. That was how the kiss mark came to be. Using them came hand-in-hand with that perverse desire obviously. He then moved to kiss them to which they submitted accordinglyâ they donât think anything they do will matter. However, I did also bring up in some tags briefly that they accept control but are sometimes reluctant. Narrator already knew them enough to warn them beforehand not to bite his tongue or else heâd turn theirs to mush. They still did it.
Narrator has a bad temper already so needless to say, he was very rough about crushing their cheeks with his fingers and warning them not to move so he can prepare his âretaliationâ. He left the room. They disobeyed and hid out of sight with one of Asrielâs trophies. He came back and they tried to ambush him but heâd already predicted that would happen and managed to disarm them.
Narrator had brought tape with him, so he sealed their mouth and taped their wrists together to DOMINATE them. The inappropriate harassment continued until Toriel arrived home and called out for them. Narrator, unfazed, simply ripped off the tape from their mouth and threatened them to lie about their safety, all the while still âtoying with their sensesâ. It impeded their response the first time, but when Toriel panicked and sought to open the door, they shouted and made things clear that they were alright. With that, Narrator could continue.
Halfway through however, Kristiel attempted to fight back by kneeing him in the backside but that only shook himâhe did stop however and their eyes met. Despite the moral wrongdoings of before, the silence between them was almost unending. None of them knew what to do. Narrator was a lot more anxious as he was essentially taking advantage of the perk his boss gave him and could get in a lot of trouble for it. Kristiel on the other hand was trying to analyse the situation and didnât pay attention...but they felt a little something.
Narrator, being caught in the trap of a more pure desire, which could get him into more trouble, had to be the one to put a stop to what was becoming less....unacceptable. But. He couldnât bring himself to look away. Their eyes. Their hair. The shape of their lips. The features that were hidden behind a deadpan stare all becoming more and more prominent. Slowly, he tinted a shade of pink along with Kristiel. The silence continued and elongated further until Narrator broke the silence and looked away. âDonât look at me.â
The frozen time had shattered and for the first time in a while, Kristiel let out a small giggle and smirked, feeling a little cocky to which Narrator lashed out at them for it. Again, time froze and this time Kristiel broke the silence. âDo it.â
As if breaking down every wall of Narratorâs inhibitions and COMMON SENSE, he lost it and gave himself to that warm fuzzy feeling that accumulated in that silence. Long story short, they made out and it got.....heated. Another first was taken but not skin-to-skin or anything serious. After a while, they finished and Narrator had to leave knowing full well heâd over stepped his boundaries. That said, in some way he didnât regret it.
âIâm probably going to get in trouble but...did you at least enjoy it?â
The answer was obvious. Having his ego fuelled a little before he faced the consequences, he sought to leave before Kristiel called out, asking if theyâd ever see him again. To that, he only smirked and left.
NOW! This may seem like a twisted love story but trust me, it isnât. Narrator and Kristiel donât want to end up together. Narrator canât because of the circumstances that he himself and his boss have put in place. Kristiel is his toy. The toy he is meant to mend and destroy repeatedly â he canât afford to develop feelings or have them do the same or else things will get very complicated. For Kristiel itâs a vendetta. A grudge. Narrator is the nightmare they tried to forget, he torments them, abuses them, makes them feel more like a pupper than they already do. He is the worst bully and Kristiel hates bullies. That said, they do have mutual understanding. Out of everyone, Narrator knows Kristiel better than them all. Everything they try to show people that just wonât look, whatever they try to hide within themselves, the majority. And for Kristiel, despite all the bad things, he makes them feel alive...something they long for. Theyâre always so dead inside, even his torture is enough to let them know theyâre still alive. The two are strained and so âwhat are we?â Is a question theyâll have to keep asking themselves.
This went on longer than it shouldâve...
