NOW IN NARROW SCREEN
Bundled apps don't do narrow window well
I love the idea to have narrow portion of my tablet screen reserved for a music player.
I hate that I can't really manage what's being played there, in particular - to choose new tracks. Come on, Microsoft, it's like a phone screen in size and proportions, you should have an interface model designed for it properly.
But wait, there's more - bundled apps don't fail to support narrow screen well. Mail app, when I tried to connect to Gmail and canceled, had given me an empty screen in wider-portion mode. As it happens, it's actions menu was in bottom left corner, and I had to open it full screen to actually see it. Come on, Microsoft, it's your own app, how hard was it do test it properly and make a perfect show case out of bundled apps in all context, including split-screen scenarios.
Windows 8 has a lot of good ideas, but most of them are spoiled by implementation that is far far away from perfect.
