I found concept art sketches for the Narutale AU and decided to color them :)

MC is a scary dork in this AU lol, behold a child soldier who normalizes brutalizing the enemy

And lastly, their dynamic with Sans is essentially ragebaiter vs ragebaited (also i want MC to fall first and Sans to fall harder asdfgjjkl)

I had to let this out, otherwise id end up writing for it lmao

Can you imagine if Sans has the same story arc as Kakashi? A serious guy that turned into a funny character after experiencing extreme trauma? Would be hilarious

Anyway, now that I de-anoned my work, here’s my concept of an undertale x naruto crossover, which takes place in a modern society that’s under utilitarian dictatorship. Neighboring countries are essentially in a cold war. Monsters are secondary citizens and all monster families are required to enroll one member to be a shinobi (ninja soldier), mages from poor families are lowkey encouraged to be a shinobi for the chance to gain privileges, and rich mage families serve as teachers/tutors/mentors who never get to see the frontlines.

Sans is actually talented in his youth, because he can actually replicate mage magic (which is different from monster magic). His attempts just look poor because it’s not natural for his magic. MC can see his potential as a fellow prodigy tho! Yall,,, my world building for their magic system— hold me back shdjdjdk

I am unfortunately still a Naruto fan after all these years lol. The manga/novels will always have a place in my heart. If im in this ninja hell, im dragging all you mofos with me dattebayo--

Sans in this AU is a combination of Kakashi and Itachi, while MC is a combination of Rin and Shisui. There's a pattern here, which is:

Rin 🤝 Shisui (sacrificing themselves)

Kakashi 🤝 Itachi (witnessing their sacrifices)

but hey, at least Sans didn't directly kill them lmao

While the inspired roles are similar to Sans and MC, I have a unique take in their story, with my own spin in their world. But essentially:

Sans is motivated to be an A-rank shinobi or higher to exempt Papyrus from being enrolled to the magic academy and being drafted. MC is a mage prodigy with no elite background; they're smart in presenting themselves as unassuming at first, only revealing their talents once they're a recognized "adult" (you're considered as an adult once you graduate from the academy, which is by average, 10 years old).

Sans is forced to ask for MC's help if he wants to attain his goal.

I actually put a lot of thought into this world's political background and magic system, but to be fair, this idea has been at the back of my head for at least three years now. It's only recently I decided to draw/add details for it lol

Bro it's so tempting to write a fic for this, because I have so many ideas to share about it. It won't take much to think of an ending for this AU, as we all know how Playhouse AUs tend to end.

That said, if I start writing for this, I'd have to give up writing for Idle Love lol

But I suppose I can post a fic of one shots for this AU. We'll see haha!

(Note: The characters I have chosen are based on personality and/or the relationships that they have with Frisk/Naruto. So, they might be a loose fit and the relations of Undertale characters do not carry over (brothers, lovers, etc.) Also, adults are adults and kids are kids.)

Papyrus -> (I'm actually not too sure about this one, I'm thinking Kakashi.)

Asgore -> Nagato

Undyne -> Gai (perfect fit)

Monster Kid -> Rock Lee

Alphys -> Tsunade

Mettaton -> Deidara (THIS IS THE BEST FIT I SWEAR!)

Muffet/Grillby -> Ichiraku Ramen (Teuchi)

Riverperson -> Yamato
