Personally I'd have preferred if Boruto wasn't a story about Naruto's son, but a '100-years later' kind of story.
There are so many villages shown in Naruto, but all the powerhouses (heros) seem to only belong from Konoha, which is very unfair...and boring. I'd have loved to read a Kiri story with the emphasis on gorgeous kenjutsu/swordsmanship, or a Kumo story – a village where strangely all characters don't have a last name. I'd have loved to see background characters perspective of the original Naruto story– how they coped with everything that happened in Naruto.
I'd have loved something like 'weathering with you' that set in same universe as 'Your Name'. Except with drama and action (because clearly author sucks at romance).
So many possibilities.
So many unique stories that could have been told.
...instead we got naruto 2.0.
With all the technological advancement, I can't take Boruto seriously. They turned a village that relied on messenger birds/summons, to a village with mobile phones, entertainment industry and electric trains. Why don't they also have gun, missiles and tanks? That would make killing easier. Why do they even run, when there's a fucking train and bikes in production? This kind of development is something that can only happen in over 50 years. Not... a decade. At this rate, there wouldn't be any need of real shinobi.
I'm quite frankly tired of watching same powers, same eyes and same kind of bs drama unfolding all over again. There's only so much OPness you can take. I'm quite done with Naruto.
World certainly didn't revolve around Naruto Uzumaki in Naruto; it did around Sasuke Uchiha and Uchiha clan. Isn't 699 chapters enough to conclude a Uchiha story? Why the fuck is there more? And aliens, really?
