Bucky Barnes, the only domovoi in New York, could not believe those idiot kids sold their ancestral home and left him useless in its hearth. Now he had some tiny asshole invading it and tearing it apart—but even weakened, he had a few tricks that would surely scare any human off. Any human, that was, except Steve.
A story of the magic in the restoration of heart(h) and home, a very grumpy and very adorable Bucky, and the tiny stubborn man he couldn't help but fall in love with.

I signed up for the bang in the crazy first lockdown, and am feeling very proud of all of us for keeping our creativity going with all the life, work and study pressures piling up towards the end. Meeting two lovely, beautifully talented people to collaborate with has been so precious. Especially as we’re all starved of good times in this stupid year.
Every night, Steve falls asleep and finds himself dreaming about a diner, and every night he finds Bucky waiting for him there. But in the waking world, Bucky has disappeared, gone on the run after the fall of the Triskelion and Project Insight, and the strange dream that they share may be the only way that Steve has to bring him home.

It's hard to believe that it's over! Nine months, 90 collabs, 4,272,290 words, 561 pieces of art, 11 bars of soap, 5 podfics, and 3 fanvids later, you have made a truly difficult year brighter, not only for everyone reading and feasting their eyes and ears on your art, but for us, your mods.
When we first started throwing around the idea of putting together a stucky bang, of course we had no idea what 2020 had in store for us or all the challenges we would collectively face. We have been stunned by your engagement, your wild creativity, and your enthusiasm despite this! Not only have you all turned your energy toward creation in a year that seemed determined to suck the joy out of everything, you formed a truly supportive and encouraging community inside the bang discord and out of it, and it has been really humbling to see the friendships that have come out of this community.
From our initial idea way back in October 2019—which honestly seems like decades ago now—a truly remarkable amount of creativity has flourished, and to see the relationships that have developed from your collaborations and especially around the act of creation has been such a bright spot for us in this truly accursed year. We hope it has been a bright spot for you as well.
Many of you have asked if we have plans for a 2021 event. The simple answer is: not right now! With a bang of this magnitude and timeline, we just don’t have the energy or the time to start all over again in a matter of weeks. Plus, we have an overflowing reading list to catch up on! Never say never, though—maybe in a few months we’ll be itching to bury ourselves in spreadsheets again. But for now, your (Not) Another Stucky Big Bang Mods have no plans other than disappearing into the woods*, never to be seen again.
Thank you from all of us for being part of the (Not) Another Stucky Big Bang. This has been an immense labor of love for us, and it's truly gratifying to see the love that you, too, have put into it. You have all made this fandom (and community) a better, more creative place.
