wolken #2 transcript: (unfortunately there’s no, like, community subtitles or whatever available on this video so i can’t actually subtitle the video and you’ll have to read along here :( )
BOSS: “Can you put those bin bags outside when you leave? I’ll see you tomorrow.”
NAS: “I won’t be here tomorrow. Daniel’s covering for me.”
BOSS: “Oh yeah, right.”
—
NAS: “What are you doing here?”
CHICO: “What kinda question is that? How about ‘hey Chico, hey Achmed. Haven’t seen you in a while, how’re you doing?’”
NAS: “Hey Chico, hey Achmed. Haven’t seen you in a while… how’re you doing?”
ACHMED: “Yeah, we’re doing good. How are you doing?”
NAS: “What the fuck are you doing here?”
ACHMED: “Nothing we’re just.. passing by.”
NAS: “‘Nothing?’ You guys don’t pass by on a Friday night at 11 for ‘nothing’.”
ACHMED: “Alright, alright. We need your help. An hour.”
NAS: “An hour, with what man? I can’t do an hour, I’m tired.”
ACHMED: “It’s not a lot of work!”
NAS: “Can’t you ask someone else?”
ACHMED: “Like who? Come on, we’re always with the three of us… that you don’t answer your phone when I call…”
NAS: “I was busy, man, I wanted to call you back but- why does he have a jerrycan with him?”
—
ACHMED: “So I’m back from Utrecht, around 3 AM I think, and I’m driving the A2-“
NAS: “What were you doing in Utrecht?”
ACHMED: “Remember how we were in Utrecht last summer?”
NAS: “Yeah.”
ACHMED: “Right, so do you remember that we ate spring rolls?”
NAS: “Yeah.”
ACHMED: “The girl who works in the spring roll food truck…”
NAS: “The Chinese girl?”
ACHMED: “Right, Vietnamese, I was with her.”
NAS: “Really?”
ACHMED: “Sure!”
NAS: “How do you even do that?”
ACHMED: “That’s how you do it! [no clue what he’s saying here] MSN, text, condoms, and in that exact order. Can I finish my story?”
—
ACHMED: “So I’m driving, a little stressed, and suddenly the car stops. I’m like fuck, not here, not now.”
NAS: “Are we talking about the BMW you got from your uncle? Same car he took us to soccer with when we were six, that car?”
ACHMED: “Yeah, that car, that car. It’s not even that old. And anyway it’s a BMW so you divide the years by half, that’s how it works with quality cars.”
NAS: “So the quality car stopped in its tracks.”
ACHMED: “Right exactly, so I step on the clutch and I’m just able to get it to a parking spot somewhere, and then I’m standing there in the middle of the night. Phone dead, no shoes-“
NAS: “Why weren’t you wearing shoes?”
ACHMED: “Let me put it like this: I was in a really big hurry when I left Utrecht.”
NAS: “How big was this hurry?”
ACHMED: “Well, about 1.75m with 40 years of martial arts experience and a half naked daughter on the sofa.”
—
ACHMED: “So I’m walking along, and at a certain point I find a bus-stop where the nightbus stops.”
NAS: “Why didn’t you just get a taxi?”
ACHMED: “Seriously, Nas, what taxi driver would take a by-the-side-of-the-highway-walking bare-foot Moroccan in the middle of the night? And I only had 5 euro on me.”
NAS: “And that’s why we’re walking here now?”
ACHMED: “Yep.”
NAS: “But what should I do then?”
ACHMED: “You, uhhh… Well you say something then.”
CHICO: “You’re here because it’s an old car which has been there for a while. And if it doesn’t immediately start then we’ll have to push it, and I won’t be able to do that on my own, of course.”
NAS: “That’s why? That’s the best reason you can come up with?”
CHICO: “Well, I mean, it’s true.”
NAS: “Dude.”
—
ACHMED: “Woah… woah!”
CHICO: “What’s wrong?”
ACHMED: “This isn’t right, something’s not right… We got out at Berendonck, right? My car should be right here!”
NAS: “But it isn’t.”
ACHMED: “But that’s not possible, I left it right here on Sunday.”
NAS: “Sunday!”
ACHMED: “Yeah.”
NAS: “It’s fucking Friday, dude! Why would you wait five days to get it?”
ACHMED: “I was busy.”
NAS: “Busy? With what? You don’t do anything. Neither of you. You don’t do anything at all. Just hang around all day… we’re not 16 anymore, dude. Have you ever considered that maybe that’s why we haven’t seen each other in a while? hm? I work. I have a girlfriend, I study. Do you know why I don’t answer when one of you calls me? Cause nothing comes from it anyway. The only thing that could happen is that I have to come push a car in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere, that isn’t even here!”
