Luu & Laa, the Moon and the Sun
Lvl 9 & 8 Spirit Adepts
In the criminal underworld, looking to hire the twin assassins is referred to as requesting the services of the Moon and the Sun (Luu and Laa respectively). An early fascination over the cosmos would lead anyone to believe this bright young pair of girls would grow up to be astronomers, and so did the twins themselves. But as life has it, humans are bound to gravitate not only towards what satisfies their desires, but also what fulfills their needs. Indeed the twin sisters went on to study celestial bodies, but they desired to do so on their own terms. Disillusioned with the bureaucracies that come with academia and the battle for funding, the latter of which is unfortunately necessary to acquire the fancy toys needed to study the stars, they put their wits to use in a field that indeed tends to be monetarily rewarding, but dangerous and morally suspect: crime.
While taking up scientific jobs offered by various crime organizations is not something that directly exposed them to danger, the environment being worked at definitely carried the risk. Seeing as they would be working under those circumstances, it was Luu that suggested that, at the very least, they should train in basic self-defense should it be required one day. As is with crafty, intelligent people, it did not take long for them to come up with ways to infuse some of their scientific talents into their methods of self-preservation, something that was further accentuated upon stumbling into spiritually gifted individuals, the likes of which they studied as thoroughly as they could, eventually learning to develop spiritual prowess themselves. Because of their disciplined nature and talent for observation, it did not take long for the twins to become unusually talented fighters themselves, and after catching a whiff of the high pay-grade that comes with being a top tier assassin, they eventually delved fully into the profession.
After years, one has to wonder: do the twins still engage in it to fund their primary passion, or have they just acquired a taste for calculated bloodshed?

Adventure:
Luu and Laa’s assassination Techniques are more flashy than they are inconspicuous. Because of that, those that hire the services of the Moon and the Sun are actually looking to send a message more so than simply trying to get rid of a specific target.
Laa’s tactics are oriented towards disabling her targets. She’s well equipped to disable single targets and large groups of people through her abilities. She is also slightly more athletic than her sister, favoring unarmed combat over utilizing weapons. As for specifics, Laa’s Immolate ability is her go to, single-target assassination Technique, while the various Pressure Point unarmed actions are used to disable targets rather than killing them. Finally, her signature move, Searing Flash, can serve to cause serious damage, disable those within its range (specifically their vision), and immediately engulf an area in flames, turning it into an extremely dangerous location.
Luu, on the other hand, utilizes her powers as a support for her gunmanship. First of all, she always makes sure to take advantage of the her Rogue Planet technique, which makes it hard for others to target her, especially with the advantage granted by Ben’s Training (feat). When utilized on her sister, it allows Luu to concentrate fully on the offense, automatically following her sister’s movements as she guns down targets with a Full Round Action. On foes, it makes it practically impossible to escape them, firing off a volley of shots from all angles as she continues to orbit around them, benefiting from the bonus granted by the Circling Offense feat. Finally, there’s her signature move, Victim of Gravity, which hinders her target’s movement due to all things that begin to be pulled towards them, and furthermore makes them even more susceptible to attacks and Techniques due to the Mark modification.
