If it helps, the articulation you’re looking for is an alveolar flap. Basically, you want to tap the tip of your tongue quickly against the alveolar ridge, which is the bony ridge just above the inside of your top row of teeth. Hope that helps.

so it would be more like a d than an l or an r then, yes? in terms of tongue placement anyhow.

See now, all this Black Queen you've been posting is making me want a fic where BQ happened in the past, and then after Regina cast the curse, she ended up adopting Emma shortly after arriving in Storybrooke. Once she got her, she wanted to raise here like she thought was right, and while she's kinder, she ends up falling into the same sort of predations her mother had done to her, except she's the mother this time and Emma is the daughter.
