the cut over his eye is bleeding heavy, as do most head wounds. he’s not bothered by it really, not since he got his own licks in directly after and more than likely the guy he fought looks more like hamburger meat than human right now. he’s heading out towards his bike, parked off to the side in the dark, less likely to get stolen in this part of town simply because most people know who owns it. 

he stops beside a truck who’s owner is clearly compensating for something since sam doesn’t have to lean down very far to see into the side mirror and check the cut over again. wifebeater tank is stripped off and used to pack the wound again, get some of the bleeding to stop for the moment. he’ll be a mess by the time he gets back to his apartment, but it’ll work for now.

“natblida!” madi calls out, a whisper of a yell when she spotted the woman from where she was hiding under the fallen tree and the brush. madi had seen the other in the valley before, so long ago it seemed, enough to know that prior to the prisoner transport coming down, no one had survived in without being a nightblood. her whole village was gone, only her and clarke, and clarke had told her to hide. she clutched the gun she’d been given but when she saw the other nightblood, madi squirmed herself out from under the brush, panting and scared, and she ran straight for the woman and wrapped her smaller arms around her, burying her smudged cheeks into her hip.

“Stay in the circle.” Clarke finished pouring the salt, it laying in a thick crude ring around them. With her weapon drawn, she braced herself for the ghosts of the abandoned house to attack again, “We need to find our opening and run. Did you find where the bodies are buried while you were looking around? There was nothing in the basement...”

“Are you sure it’s okay that I’m here?” Alona worried her tattered shirt as she followed Luna onto the rig. It wasn’t as if she had anywhere else she could go-- she didn’t want to go back to the dropship, and she doubted any of the grounders besides Luna would take her in. But even still, she didn’t want to be a bother to her, or cause issues in her home, so she followed her like a lost puppy, still a bit groggy from the vile she had to take before being loaded up.

Bellamy doesn’t meet her gaze as she approaches, eyes trained on the ground in front of him. The corner of his lips twitches at the thought that Luna would be concerned about any of them after the mess they’d brought to her community. When he realizes she’s not going to go away he finally lifts his gaze, expression softening considerably. “I’ll rest when we have a plan that ensures we all survive.”

“Don’t tell me that you don’t want some.” 

Clarke held up the mostly full bowl of Halloween candy. There were a lot fewer trick-or-treaters than she had anticipated and most of what she had bought was still left. The blonde plopped herself on the couch next to the other, setting down the bowl and picking up her glass of wine.

“I’d recommend the sour ones, but there are a bunch of Reese’s in there too.”

“Moba…” Lexa mumbled, though she had apologized at least three other times before.  Green eyes avoided contact with the others’ and instead looked down at the dirt below. The young warrior had a temper, one her mentor spotted within her early on. Anya feared if left unchecked, the anger could manifest in devastating ways, causing her to be a ticking time bomb. Keeping herself centered was something Lexa constantly worked on, and some days she turned to aggression more easily. 

She had been paired up with Luna that afternoon. Though she was one of the smallest novitiates, Lexa made up for that with speed, accuracy and scrappiness. This Floukru natblida had both height and weight on her, and proved to be equally fast, which threw her off. Titus eventually called for everyone’s attention, signaling a break in their fighting. Lexa, still sour over the fact she had received more hits than she gave out, did not stand down. Fingers wrapped tightly around her weapon, she wound up and cracked Luna right in the face with the edge of her staff. Soon enough, the flame keeper was holding apart two nightbloods ready to kick each other’s teeth in.

Both girls had been separated and given time in which to cool down. If Anya had been present, she would be disappointed by the display. This thought is what ultimately led the brunette to take responsibility for her actions. After voicing her regrets, Lexa held out her arm to Luna so they could shake on it in good faith.
