I am thankful to be in his space at the National Council for Behavioral Health, presenting on the work we are doing to support our clients returning to the community after incarceration. —————————— The Alameda County Justice Restoration Project matches clients with Reentry Coaches that help them access, secure, and sustain services, such as employment, education, therapy, trauma recovery, housing, basic needs, peer support and motivation. Through our family systems model, these supports are extended to the clients’ natural support system, enhancing the capacity to stabilize. —————————— At La Familia, we are able to work hand in hand with our Reentry Employment Program that prepares clients to re-enter the workforce by providing comprehensive training, interviews and job opportunities. The team takes the time to celebrate client accomplishments along the way, because the even the smallest steps are steps in the right direction and are worthy of recognition. —————————— When needed, our clients have access to more intensive mental health services through our Reentry Treatment team that serves clients that have a higher level of clinical need. —————————— What I am most proud of is the team that ensures these services are delivered with integrity, heart and professionalism. Over 70% of our staff are formerly system involved and join the agency with powerful lived experience. They serve on another level, and I am so thankful to be on this journey towards change with this team of leaders. #natcon19 #dreamteam #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #alamedacounty #bayarea #ACJRP #Justice #restoration #leadership #justicesystemreform #justicerestoration #thejusticeleague #workwithpassion #workwithpurpose #workhard #traumainformed #traumarecovery #ptsd #complextrauma #formerlyincarcerated https://www.instagram.com/theseedthatgrew/p/Bvhn1vqpt7L/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1q4zg9z6ll0ry
