Her master’s question came as a slight surprise to the Caster. She had not actually expected such a response to come from this conversation, though it was not something she was against.
“The world is just another word for the things you value around you, right?”
Was that a saying or belief most subscribed too? It was the first time she had heard of such a thing. It was odd to think that she had never truly taken a moment in her life to have stopped and eventually worked her way to such a conclusion. She was curious as to how her Master had come to such a conclusion as well.
“Hmm…I suppose that is true. I had never actually thought of it in such a manner, though now that such an idea has been mentioned, I suppose it is a rather fitting way of describing such a thing.” Caster replies with a small smile, nodding to affirm her belief in such a statement.
The things one values around themselves…Well the world was large. Very large. She had accepted long ago that she would never truly be able to see all that the world had offered and that it had never mattered to begin with, given her own views on life and way of living it. But it was still something she had regretted. It would have been nice to explore more of the world.
But with this belief…something about it at least provided a very small amount of closure in some sense. There weren’t many things she truly valued, but she tried to hold those things close to her heart. If those things and people were what the world really was…then perhaps it would not be so bad if that was all she had explored.
