What is the age difference between Hia Yi's father and the guy his father starts to see?
Oh they're married LONG before Cutie Pie and Naughty Babe. They marry when Yi is like.. 17 and Nathee 19. So you barely get the "starts to see" part. They're pretty much locked in like... 1/3 of the way through the novel and married the last 1/3.
Pretty sure it mentioned Makorn being in his 40s. So about 2x his age.
To be fair though, he falls in love with Nathee believing him to be 29. Not 19. Though, he also says if he is lying and is younger, he doesn't care. And loves dressing Nathee up like a doll to make him look as young as possible. Nathee loves it too- just to be clear.
I think it'd be equivalent, purely only in terms of age, to like...
